Nature and Wildlife tours: Snorkel or dive along the Coral Beach Nature Reserve to float over brain coral and parrotfish, then stop at the Eilat Bird Sanctuary to watch migrating raptors and waders feeding on the salt ponds. After dark, join a desert walk to search for scorpions under UV light and listen for nocturnal wildlife in the Eilat Mountains.

Hiking tours: Tackle the Red Canyon’s narrow passages and metal rungs on a guided loop, with stops for photos of the striped sandstone walls. Or hike at sunrise on Mount Zefahot or Mount Yoash for four-border views, and add Timna Park trails around Solomon’s Pillars and the Mushroom.

History tours: Explore Timna Park’s ancient copper mines, peer into restored smelting installations, and read Egyptian inscriptions near the Temple of Hathor. Back in town, visit the Ink Flag site at Umm Rashrash and the Eilat City Museum to trace the 1949 raising of Israel’s flag on the Gulf.

You can walk the beachfront promenade and marina areas, and local buses or taxis cover town, but trailheads and nature sites like Red Canyon and Timna Park are spread out. It’s easy to book chauffeured tours or tours with private transportation; ask your local guide to arrange a vehicle that fits your group.

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all itinerary, you can tailor your private tour to match your interests, pace and personality with a local who knows Eilat inside and out.
