Hi! I’m a proud Carioca — born and raised in the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro. I’ve been walking these streets for years, sharing my passion and love for Rio with people from all over the world. When I’m not guiding visitors through Rio’s iconic sights and hidden gems, you’ll probably find me running through its streets and parks — sports are my second passion! Fun fact: I even met my husband through a running club! One of the most unforgettable experiences of my life was volunteering at the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics. That incredible moment inspired me to change my life — I left my career in the financial market, where I had worked for nearly 20 years as an investment analyst, to follow my heart and become a licensed tour guide. During the Olympics, I discovered a natural gift: connecting with people from around the world. My fluency in English, background in Brazilian history, love for storytelling, and warm personality all came together to shape this new chapter in my life. Since 2017, I’ve been working full-time as a certified guide — and honestly, I can’t imagine doing anything else! I love welcoming visitors and revealing the fascinating layers of this city: from must-see landmarks to off-the-beaten-path treasures. My tours always come with a historical twist, a local’s perspective, and — most importantly — a genuine smile (you’ll see it in my profile picture! ).
