I'm Alan D., your private tour guide in Rio De Janeiro

Guide #28091

Hi and welcome! My name is Alan, I am 44 years old, was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro. Having been to 35 countries on all the continents of the world, I have had the opportunity to be in touch with different cultures and languages - and this grew my desire to show my city, Rio de Janeiro, to tourists. I am a licensed tour guide in Rio by EMBRATUR, the Brazilian Institute of Tourism, and have been a private guide in Rio de Janeiro since 2013, having carried out hundreds of private tours of Rio, and have become more and more in love with my city and with my job as a Rio Tour Guide. I am fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese, and have a BA in Social Communication. When I'm not guiding, I enjoy writing, reading, spirituality, hiking and studying languages (I also speak intermediate French). In my private tours, I use a 7-seater car (including me as driver guide), and my motivation is to be flexible and to offer you tailor-made tours, customized to your needs and desires, optimizing your time in Rio. What I look for in each tour is to provide you with an experience that you will remember for many years to come!

Tour Guide Alan was great. Punctual, courteous, knowledgable, flexible to our schedule and desires. We had a great time visiting Petropolis and learned a lot about the history of Brazil and Portugal. We had a delightful lunch of local food. Petropolis was so different from the buzz of Rio and it was an enjoyable change. The Alpine feel of the area was a surprise. We would...

We had a delay of 8 hours and wanted to reschedule the day and Alan was extremely helpful and assisted us. The tour was fantastic and we were able to see so much of Rio in such a short period of time. Alan also helped us by talking to the airline as we had a lost piece of luggage. He went over and above to assist us and to also show us Rio at the same time. Alan is very...

Alan was such a personable, friendly person. We felt so comfortable with him right from meeting him in the Arena lobby. It was a fantastic tour, we got to see so much and enjoyed his company. He told us the agenda planned and wanted us to have our input too. We would recommend him anytime. It was a fantastic day.

We loved our tour with Alan. His English is perfect and he was so kind and very accommodating. He picked us up on time in a lovely car. Always taking care to open the doors and make sure we were safe. He is very knowledgeable and gave us so much information. We took his advice and purchased the skip the line tour tickets and that saved us hours of a lineup. I...
