This is the city where I was born and raised, where I studied Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University, where I got married and where I became a father. I lived and worked in Paris and in London then I started teaching in schools for foreign students.
In 1993, I won the Tourist Guide License in a public competition (14th out of more than a thousand of candidates) and in that moment, my passion became my job. Since then, I have spent a big portion of my life studying the Art and History of Florence, sharing the love of my city with my family and friends.
I do my best to convey in my tours the passionate vision of my city, its Art, History, Economy, Tradition and of the life of those Florentines who played such an important role in the creation of the modern world.
There was a time when Florence was "the school of the world" and is that time I would like for you to learn more about, making it alive, lending my words to the silent testimonials of that glorious era, in the museums, in the squares and in the streets of the city.
In my 25 years long-standing experience as a Local Guide in Florence I have been used to work with any kind of visitors: those who want to see as much as possible in the shortest time, those who prefer to have slower paced tours, those who do not like hearing "a lot of knowledge" and even Scholars and Professors appreciating more detailed explanations. In other words, I am quite confident of being able to satisfy your expectations.

What a great tour for 1st timers in Florence. We only had a day to spend around the city and Francesco exceeded our expectations! We saw and learned so much. We would never have found all those sites in the limited time we had. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks for a great day out Francesco. We look forward to booking another tour with you again for our next visit to Florence. Toula, Paul and Alexander.
