Hello beautiful people, my name is Luz, and I have been living on Oahu for over 18 years. I fell in love with this beautiful island when I first came here on vacation—just like many of you. I enjoy sunny days, the outdoors, swimming, hiking, painting, visiting museums, and learning about art and history. I have a natural love for people and for this island, and giving tours allows me to share both while meeting people from all over the world. My goal is to make you feel right at home. I like to keep my tours fun and engaging. I’ll teach you some basics of the Hawaiian language and culture, and if you’re interested, we can even learn a simple Hawaiian song together. I know the island very well and will make sure you and your family have a memorable experience. Please feel free to ask any questions—I will respond as soon as possible. I have over 10 years of experience in tourism and understand that every guest is different. My tours are flexible, and I welcome your suggestions as long as they are safe and legal. You can make changes up until pickup time, and even during the tour we can adjust the itinerary. This is what we call “Hawaiian style”—relaxed and flexible. I invite you to remember and honor the Heroes that gave their lives at Pearl Harbor and learn about the events that placed USA into World War II. Visit The USS Arizona Memorial and the Pearl Harbor Museums and tour the East Site of the island of Oahu. The East site of Oahu is well known for its beautiful Ocean views and unit places to visit. From Halona Blow hole to a film making site, you will get to feel like if you were in Japan by visiting The Byodo-in Temple.
Luz was great ! Very warm and we laughed a lot. She took us to all the places on our list and then some! The back pack, clear purse , water and snack was so thoughtful! We would highly recommend Tours by Locals and especially Luz!
Luz was amazing! I wanted a tour that had "everything", so Luz designed a custom day for my family of 5 (3 kids 11, 13, & 14). Luz was welcoming and provided gifts/snacks. She knew times for all the places, so we did not miss anything, and coordinated the tour around the times/locations. She was knowledgeable about the island and spent more time then booked. Her price was very affordable, and she was worth it! She even planned out a tour for us on the East side for the following day that we did on our own
Luz was absolutely amazing and took such great care of my husband and I! She showed us all the places we wanted to see, made sure we were having fun, and allowed us to spend as much time as we wanted at each place, while still keeping us on track so we didn't miss out on anything! She was super informative and spending the day with her was one of the highlights of our trip! We highly recommend you book this tour, or any that she has to offer! =)
I will pick you up as early as is convenient for you. At Pearl Harbor I will give you the basic guidance but, tour guides are not to guide inside they have their own. You will visit the USS Arizona Memorial and the museums, watch the Pearl Harbor documentary and have time to walk around the area and honor our heroes by walking around, reading and remembering each of their names. I will wait for you outside and have snacks and cold water ready for you to refresh. We will enjoy Diamond Head Look out Kahala States drive by and admire beautiful houses We will stop at Halona Blow Hole to take a nice video or picture Makapuu Look out Byoodo in Temple Macademia Nut Farm to taste samples & coffee Chinaman's Hat Island for pictures Kualoa Ranch, movie spot We will pass by Sandy beach and Waimanalo Beach where you can learn about the Hawaiian Culture I am flexible on the time. You can select the time that is convenient for you and your family.

I have available a Minivan Fully Loaded with leather seats and upgraded floor mats, Wifi, Air conditioner, phone charger accessories, daily cleaned and disinfected, low mileage vehicle, and up to date preventive maintenance program. ** Please let me know if you have suitcases, If you have more than 4 suitcases and carryons that can't fit in my minivan and will change the price of the tour because I have to use a larger vehicle. For group of 6 or more ask me for pricing. * please note there is a $100 extra charge for outside Honolulu pickups. *Tour start time is when I pick you up to when I drop you off.
