O'ahu in Focus : Your Circle Island Immersion

David was great! He all day with him and he went with our pace and it was just perfect! He showed us everything on Oahu and we couldn’t have been happier!

David was a wonderful guide. I was able to personalize my tour, removing sites I had already visited. He was very knowledgeable, and we got to see so much of the island that we would have missed without David and our tour. We learned so much about Hawaii, and got to see a lot of places. I enjoyed spending the day with David. I will book again with David the next time I am in Honolulu.

I wasn’t sure if using an individual instead of a company was a good plan for our first trip to Oahu but I’m so glad I found David on Tours by Locals! He is truly a professional and made our tour so very personal. We enjoyed our day with him and learned so much about the island, people and history. He not only suggested a perfect lunch spot but gave us the best pointers on how to go about ordering and eating our delicious meal. This helped us avoid the struggles the couple next to us faced-bring “wet wipes”! I greatly appreciated that we were able to make arrangements to be picked up at our Ko’Olina resort and David was so good about fine tuning and customizing our tour. He shared heartfelt stories, great Dad jokes and fun anecdotes about all the interesting sites and local culture. As a special and unexpected touch, he took photos of us at various points on the tour and shared them that night. If you are planning to tour this island, don’t hesitate to go with David. No other guide will provide a better experience.

What an outstanding day! Dave truly exemplifies the aloha spirit. When our ship changed the times we could disembark, I was all stressed, but Dave just rolled with it. He met us, and I knew right away we were in for a great day. We saw everything we wanted and more as we covered most of the island. The stories, the history, the dad jokes, the learning and of course the incredible scenery made the day fly. I may have pineapple fields forever stuck in my head for a while (haha). Ask Dave about being a Temple Parking Valet! Seriously, you cannot go wrong with touring with Dave. A true gentleman who held our doors, enriched us and taught us about island life. Highly recommend!

David did a lovely job under difficult conditions. We arrived the day before the historic floods, so the rain was beginning and David was careful to keep us safe. Nonetheless, we did see nearly all of the island. He was as attentive to our interests as was possible given the weather. We definitely recommend him.

Dave provided us with one of the day long toys I've ever experienced! Seriously! We had crazy bad weather the week we were in Oahu, but Dave pivoted and showed us so many wonderful things in Oahu! He is a wealth of knowledge, and took us to experience all parts of the island. Bonus! He took lots of pictures of us and shared them the next day! Fabulous!
