Aloha! I’m Alex, and for more than 22 years, Oʻahu has been my home. I’ve spent over 17 years guiding visitors around the island, but what I offer isn’t a scripted sightseeing tour. My goal is to give you the kind of day you’d have if you were exploring Oʻahu with a local friend who knows exactly where to go, when to go, and what’s worth your time. Tell me what you want to get out of your day, and I’ll take it from there. Maybe you want to see as much of the island as possible, discover incredible beaches and viewpoints, learn about Hawaiian history and culture, find great local food, swim beneath a waterfall, photograph the North Shore, or get away from the typical tourist experience. Private touring gives us the freedom to shape the day around you. My connection to Hawaiʻi goes well beyond guiding. I’ve studied Hawaiian culture and history locally, worked at places including ʻIolani Palace and Lyon Arboretum, and previously guided at Kualoa Ranch. I’m also a U.S. Navy veteran, pilot, certified scuba diver, North Shore surfer, photographer, and longtime island resident. Those experiences have given me a unique perspective on Oʻahu and plenty of stories to share along the way. Photography is also a big part of what I do. You shouldn't have to experience Hawaiʻi from behind your phone all day. Enjoy yourself, and I'll help capture great photos of you and your family along the way so everyone actually makes it into the vacation pictures. Most importantly, I want our day to be fun. I’m not interested in rushing you from stop to stop while reciting a memorized script. We'll explore, talk story, laugh, eat something good, change plans when something interesting comes up, and experience Oʻahu at a pace that works for you. After more than two decades here, I still love exploring this island. Overview of your Honolulu tour
My name is Alex, and I have been leading tours in Hawaii for 18 years. During that time, I realized everyone wants to see Hawaii differently. My tours allow you to choose what you want to do so you can walk away satisfied, knowing you did exactly what you wanted to do in Hawaii. More about me. I am a laid-back guy who loves everything about Hawaii and has experienced most of it firsthand. I am an experienced guide and can show you a great time on Oahu or any other Hawaiian Island. I'm told repeatedly I'm like hanging out with someone you have known for years. I can get along with everyone and anyone. I will treat you and your group as if you were one of my friends or family visiting Hawaii. We will have a great day together sightseeing, exploring, eating, and anything else you wish to experience. Alex was a great tour guide! He communicated well while we were planning the tour. Alex suggested some spots to visit and incorporated our specific requests including stopping at Leonard’s Bakery for malasadas on the way to the North Shore. Alex was funny and a safe driver. He was also great about offering to take family photos for us along the way. He was very knowledgeable about Oahu and we learned a lot on our tour! 100% recommend Alex and a private group island tour!

Our family of 6, ranging 13 to 80 years old, had a wonderful time touring the North Shore of Oahu with Alex. He was very personable and had a wealth of information to share with us about his life and Hawai’i as we toured. He guided us on timing, where to go and when, as well as listening to our requests. One of the highlights was going to Waimea Falls with Alex hiking with us to the falls. This tour was so much better than driving ourselves - he knew the ins and outs of the area. We had a great time with Alex on our tour. Alex was great at communicating with me prior to our tour and came up with an excellent itinerary for our group of 6(age range 69-14). He was very knowledgeable about the island and pointed to interesting things at each of our stops and when we were on the road. He allowed us to take our time on each of the stops. We never felt rushed for time. He picked some really great food spots for snacks and lunch. One of the most special moments of the tour was when we were able to recreate a family photo from when my grandparents visited the island in 1979. Alex looked at the photo, knew exactly where it was, and found the exact rock where my grandparents were standing. We toured East Oahu, Pali lookout, took the H3 highway back to Honolulu, made stops at Palace/Statehouse, and Punch Bowl before heading back to the hotel. The day was perfect!
