USS Arizona & USS Missouri - Pearl Harbor Shore Excursion

Visit Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona - the most popular site on all of Oahu. Learn about the events leading up to this infamous day and the impact it made on an entire generation. You'll hear a pre-recorded lecture by an historian discussing why the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor and I'll share my knowledge about the historical events surrounding that day. When we arrive at Pearl Harbor, I'll give you pointers on how to best utilize your time and make the most of your experience, and provide you with tickets for the navy shuttle to the Memorial. Then we head over to the USS Missouri on Ford Island. Before we head back, we'll drive through Punchbowl Cemetery with its panoramic views of Honolulu, Diamond Head and large wall murals that tell the stories of American military engagements throughout the Pacific. We stop by the Iolani Palace, home to the last reigning monarch of Hawaii, and the only official royal residence in the United States, and the renowned King Kamehameha Statue, featured on Hawaii 5-0

·First, I'll pick you up from your lodging (either a hotel, a cruise ship) or from the airport. ·Next, we'll begin driving to Pearl Harbor listening to a lecture by an historian about the Japanese attack. ·Once there, we'll explore the Visitor's Center which displays 2 exhibits and a 23-minute documentary with live footage. ·Later, we'll take the Navy shuttle to the USS Arizona Memorial. ·After visiting the memorial, we'll drive to the USS Missouri Battleship on Ford Island. ·Next we'll drive through Punchbowl Cemetery, often called the Arlington of the Pacific. ·Finally, we'll stop by the grounds of Iolani Palace and the King Kamehameha Statue. ·At last we'll return to your accommodation.
