Daniel was great, and he made what should have been a dead travel day into one of the best of our trip. He picked us up straight off our cruise ship at the pier and dropped us at the airport for an afternoon flight, with all our luggage in the vehicle for the day. He was completely flexible about the whole arrangement. When his van had a mechanical problem the night before, he told us proactively and offered two alternatives rather than letting us find out in the morning. The route showed us a completely different Oʻahu from the one we had seen at Pearl Harbor — the Halona Blowhole, the Makapuʻu lookout with the lighthouse below, the Pali lookout, Hoʻomaluhia and Byodo-In Temple. For lunch he picked up poke bowls from Foodland, the local supermarket chain that makes fresh poke daily and is a genuine island staple rather than a tourist thing, and we ate them sitting in the gardens at Hoʻomaluhia. Better than any restaurant we could have found on our own. He was excellent with our kids, who were flagging on day nine of a two-week trip. He quizzed them in English and Spanish as we drove, with malasadas as the reward for a right answer — and he knew a spot to get the famous Leonard's malasadas with no line at all, which anyone who has seen that queue will appreciate. Our 12-year-old learned to pronounce humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa and lauwiliwilinukunukuʻoiʻoi and was still saying them on the plane. We would happily book with him again — we may even come back for his surf school.

We had an excellent time, our requests were met. Very knowledgeable of the history of the sites.

Our tour guide Daniel was amazing! Very nice, knowledgeable, courteous. You can tell he loved his work, showing guests around Oahu. He brought us to the best photo spots, told us some history. I also appreciate how helpful and accommodating he was with my elderly Mom. I would definitely go on another tour with him in the future! Thankful for a memorable tour on our family vacation!

Fantastic tour by Daniel! Lots of beautiful sites and great information on both the sites and Hawaiian history. We had fun, learned new information, and Daniel fulfilled a really special request to add in a beautiful, but non busy location for our son to propose to his girlfriend. It was perfect. Daniel earns our highest recommendation and we will definitely request him for any future tour on Oahu!

This tour was way beyond our expectations. Daniel not only showed us the island, he educated us on Hawaiian history and legends.
