I love the island of Oahu for all the outdoor activities she offers: hiking, swimming, canoe paddling, etc. But there's more to like about the Hawaiian Islands than natural beauty. The history and mythology of the Hawaiian people captivate locals and visitors alike. I enjoy learning about them and sharing my knowledge. When family or friends visit, I take them around to the places I enjoy (sightseeing, restaurants, activities) or, if time does not permit, I draw up itineraries for them to explore on their own. From President Obama's favorite shave ice stand to hidden waterfalls and spectacular vistas, I will help you discover way more of the island than you could driving a rental car. Try "Pearl Harbor, " "Midway, " and "Tora!Tora!Tora!" Travel from your cruise ship or hotel to Pearl Harbor Museum and Memorial for an unforgettable experience. Learn about the attack on December 7, 1941, which President Franklin Roosevelt called "a date which will live in infamy. " A documentary film and several exhibits, along with optional tours of the USS Bowfin Submarine and museum, provide a glimpse of pre-war Honolulu and a moving testimonial to the ingenuity and bravery of our armed forces. The drive up Punchbowl Crater offers a beautiful vista of Honolulu and Diamond Head. Inside we pay respects to military service members interred there and view meticulously-crafted mosaics of Pacific War battles through Vietnam.
Donna was a great guide. We wanted a private tour for our group of 6 and this was perfect. Donna helped our group easily navigate through the memorial with respect and dignity. Was totally flexible and helped us determine choices of places to visit after the memorial. We did choose the Punchbowl and were glad we did. Donna was very informative and knowledgeable. We highly recommend her and this tour.

Donna was able to completely customize our time from disembarkation to airport drop off. Pearl Harbor was a priority for us and she was able to secure Arizona tickets and provide us with tips to make the most of our time there. We had also requested a restaurant that highlighted local specialities and her recommendation was spot on. She is very knowledgeable and flexible. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with her!
Donna is an excellent guide. She picked us up from our cruise ship, we customized our time to see some additional things in Honolulu and then she took us to Pearl Harbor and walked us through how to best navigate the time there. After that Donna dropped us off at the airport. Excellent. Well worth the cost of the tour!

- During the 20-minute drive to Pearl Harbor, I answer any questions you have about the history of the islands and talk about points of interest along the way. - Upon arrival at the Visitors Center, you may carry in a bottle of water, phone and/or camera, hat, stroller. All bags and purses must be left in the vehicle or checked at Bag Check. - I direct you to various exhibits about the lead-up to war with Japan and the attack itself. - Before boarding a boat out to the USS Arizona Memorial you'll watch a 25-minute film. - I will give you tips on where to sit on the boat for quick exit and how to optimize your experience on the Memorial. - We will visit Punchbowl Memorial Cemetery before or after Pearl Harbor, depending on timing of USS Arizona Memorial program.
