Hello beautiful people, my name is Luz, and I have been living on Oahu for over 18 years. I fell in love with this beautiful island when I first came here on vacation—just like many of you. I enjoy sunny days, the outdoors, swimming, hiking, painting, visiting museums, and learning about art and history. I have a natural love for people and for this island, and giving tours allows me to share both while meeting people from all over the world. My goal is to make you feel right at home. I like to keep my tours fun and engaging. I’ll teach you some basics of the Hawaiian language and culture, and if you’re interested, we can even learn a simple Hawaiian song together. I know the island very well and will make sure you and your family have a memorable experience. Please feel free to ask any questions—I will respond as soon as possible. I have over 10 years of experience in tourism and understand that every guest is different. My tours are flexible, and I welcome your suggestions as long as they are safe and legal. Have a few hours before your hotel check-in, flight, or cruise departure? Make the most of your time in Hawaii with a private 4-hour tour with your luggage! I will pick you up directly from your hotel, cruise ship, or other designated location, and you can bring your luggage with you. This is a private and customizable tour designed for travelers who want to experience some of Oahu’s most beautiful scenery, famous landmarks, and historic Honolulu without worrying about where to store their luggage. I will personally guide you throughout the experience and share the history, culture, and local stories of Oahu along the way. The itinerary can be adjusted based on your interests, available time, traffic, and pickup and drop-off locations. At the end of the tour, I will take you directly to your requested destination.

First time used Jan. 11th. Heard good things from our travels around the world. We were on our last day in Oahu and thought about using Travelbylocals. Saw one that took us to the airport at the end. Because we have seen a lot after 4 days we sent a note to Luz to see if we could modify. Luz was great!!! When Luz picked us up at the Hampton Inn Kapolei she had necklaces and snacks for us. Because of an accident on the highway she adjusted her route perfectly. Diamond Head to the blow hole to Sand Is.

Luiz's tour was great. We climbed Diamond Head, ate delicious malasadas from Leonards, visited a coffee plantation, the Dole Pineapple plantation (I never would have gone there -- but the pineapple ice cream was sooo delicious). We drove up to the North Shore and Luiz took us to a great shrimp lunch truck. I feel like I'd go back to everything again if we get to go back to Honolulu, which I really like. She was patient and would stop for pics anywhere. We appreciated her ideas for our tour!
Your Honolulu tour itinerary
I will pick you up from your hotel, cruise ship, or designated location and begin our private 4-hour experience. We’ll drive through Waikiki while I share its history and culture, then stop at Diamond Head Lookout for beautiful views. We’ll continue along Oahu’s scenic southeast coast with stops at Halona Blowhole and Eternity Beach, with drive-bys of Sandy Beach and Makapuʻu Lookout. We’ll then stop at Leonard’s Malasadas to enjoy one of Hawaii’s favorite local treats. Finally, we’ll head to historic Downtown Honolulu to see the King Kamehameha Statue, Iolani Palace grounds, and drive through downtown. I’ll then drop you off at your requested hotel, cruise ship, airport, or other location. The itinerary is customizable based on your interests, timing, traffic, and pickup/drop-off location.

Travel comfortably in my clean, well-maintained private minivan featuring leather seats, upgraded floor mats, air conditioning, and phone charging accessories. The vehicle is regularly cleaned and disinfected and maintained with an up-to-date preventive maintenance program. Luggage: Please let me know the number of suitcases and carry-ons you have. With luggage, the minivan can accommodate up to 4 passengers. Without luggage, it can accommodate up to 6 passengers. All travelers, including children and infants, count as passengers. If you have more than 4 passengers with luggage, I will need to arrange a larger vehicle and the tour price will change. Please contact me for pricing. Outside Honolulu: A $100 additional charge for pickup and $100 additional charge for drop-off applies, for a total of $200. Tour time: Your 4-hour tour begins at pickup and ends at drop-off.
