Overview of your Madrid tour

On my 2-hour guided tour we'll enjoy in a very nice and easy way the great Prado's masterpieces such as "The Garden of Earthly Delights" by El Bosco and "Las Meninas" by Velazquez. I'm an Art expert, what I love most about this tour is showing you the evolution of Art and making you feel the power and beauty of the works of Art that the museum treasures. As the famous impressionist painter Degas said, "Art is not what you see , but what you make others see". After visiting the Prado museum we will start a pleasant walk to discover the historical area "Paseo de la Luz" a World Heritage Site by Unesco in the category of Cultural Landscape. We will see the joining together of culture and nature that occurs in this historic area located in the heart of Madrid.

Jackie was a wonderful guide. Good communication, organized, and has a wealth of knowledge about history and art. She took us through the huge Prado Museum, in an organized way, so we could follow the changes from century to century. Amazing! She also managed to engage our group of old (65-75 year olds) and young (30-36 year olds) and was happy to answer questions on or off track. Very energetic- she also took us to Toledo on the high speed train (much cheaper than a hired van), and avoided the big groups

We had a fantastic morning's walking tour and guided Prado visit with Jackie, our guide. Jackie showed us some of main historical sites and interesting streets and Plazas including Santa Ana, Las Letras and a delightful stroll through Retiro. Our museum visit was very well organised and Jackie has detailed knowledge of art history so was able to show us some of the Prado's greatest works.
