Overview of your Madrid tour
A journey back in time to the Romans, hitting the Medieval times and the XVI century. We will admire the Roman aqueduct, one of the most visited monuments in Spain as it is one of the majestic works of engineering of the Antiquity. The city of Segovia flourished in the late Middle Ages and most especially in the times of Queen Isabela of Castille. She departed from the Royal Alcazar to be proclaimed Queen 14th December 1474. The splendor was not just done to the presence of the Royals and the court but thanks to the Merino wool and from the 18th century to the Academy of Artillery, the oldest in Europe still on (currently transferred to another building).

Had a great time with Jorge starting with a comfy+quick train ride from Madrid then the bus into Segovia proper. Jorge knew the best way to get to the castle with a stop along the way at the cathedral. Good lunch at restaurant w/view of iconic aqueduct. Back to the train at end of day. He has excellent knowledge of the area and we both did a little shopping in places where he knew were the best prices. Book Jorge without hesitation to see Segovia!
