My name is Daniel, for my friends just Dani. Welcome to Madrid, the place where I was born back in the seventies. Spain and its capital city have changed a lot since then, and I consider myself part of this transformation. I graduated in History and Journalism at the main local university, and I completed my education in France. Art, politics and social sciences have always been subjects of my interest, and soon I realized that I love to share this knowledge with people. With me you might not only discover some of the main monuments and prestigious Art galleries in Madrid. To let yourself go out of the beaten path can be exciting. The City reshapes again and again and is always something going on. Tell me what you are looking for and we will create together a tailor-made tour in Madrid and surroundings. Overview of your Madrid tour
Gran Via is the heart of Madrid entertainment district since the happy twenties. Along its way are outstanding buildings, fancy shops and bars displays. Get into your stride in Malasaña or discover Madrid's gay district. There is always a tapas bar on the way. Try a glass of Rioja and some well cut slices of jamón and go for the next one. Tapeando style! Can be scheduled for any time but recommended in the afternoon or early evening. Duration is three hours, never mind extending the tapeo. This is a free-form tour, tailored to your taste and interests.

If you want to explore Madrid food options with an enthusiastic guide - Daniel is your man. He is knowledgeable and entertaining about the history, architecture, art and of course food and will adopt the locations and the foods to your interests both in dishes and Madrid locations. We tried some basics such as fried cod and tortilla, excellent razor clams, scallops, prawns, fried sheep intestines (crunchy and quite good). We finished with sweets, madrono liquor and ice cream. Fantastic evening.

Puerta del Sol - Gran Vía-Chueca - Malasaña is roughly the standard tour itinerary. Anyway, I am adaptable to your needs or hotel location, as Tapas is something you can do everywhere and I try to be updated on the latest openings in town.
