The amazing Royal Palace of Madrid is the largest one in western Europe. The palace was the official residence of the Spanish Royal family for almost 200 years and is still used today for State ceremonies. You will feel like a king walking with me through the State Rooms and the Royal Armory. Afterwards, we'll continue to a nice stroll to explore the Old Town. Madrid maintains as a treasure its historical area in which, fortunately, I have the pleasure of living. Let me show you my neighbourhood, its narrow streets and pedestrian areas, its legends and its hidden gems. If you like History, this is your tour. I'm a History expert, what I love more about this tour is telling you about our history and our past and present. By the end of the day you will feel like an expert connoisseur of us. The tour will be done by walking and, if you feel like relaxing for a while, let me take you to one of my favorite typical bars in the Oldtown.

We booked Jackie for 3 full days of touring four our small group of 4 and she was top notch all the way. She went out of her way to adjust our schedule when the Royal Palace was closed on one day so we were able to visit it on one of the other days. Her English is perfect and she always had something to tell us and answered our questions fully. I highly recommend if you are visiting Madrid you book Jackie. Jackie was terrific! She took us to the highlights in the Prado - gave us an interesting perspective on some of the masterpieces which we could never have known without her.
Jackie was fabulous! We got to see everything on the tour's itinerary and more. Pacing was excellent. She was very knowledgeable about the history of Madrid, and pointed out so many extra things of interest. Jackie was able to answer all our questions and make recommendations for other sites and areas she didn't want us to miss.
The Old Town is known as "Madrid de los Austrias". This historical area is named like that because many of the monuments located here dates back to XVI and XVII centuries when the Hapsburgh Dinasty(los Austrias) ruled Spain. I'll meet you at the lobby of your Hotel while located downtown or downtown at your choice and we'll see together: -The Royal Palace (guided tour inside) -Plaza de la Villa square (stop inside) -Cathedral (going inside) - Stop and take photos at Plaza de Oriente square -Plaza Mayor (going inside) -The Opera House (stop outside) -San Miguel Market (going inside) -Casa Botín, the oldest Restaurant in the world (stop outside) - Stop ang take photos at Puerta del Sol Square At the end of the tour, I'll take you back to your Hotel or wherever you want to go.
