Hola, bienvenidos! Hi and welcome! My name is Marta and I'm licensed tour guide since 2002. I have a degree in History and Archaeology because they are my passions and in fact, I work also as an archaeologist. My other passion is travelling and from my own experience, what I really enjoy are unique experiences that make you feel as a local and provides you a dip in the place that you are visiting. Madrid is my hometown and where I live and as you'll see, it's a really enjoyable and open city. In Madrid you can find almost everything that you expect: Culture, Heritage, Gastronomy, Nature, Leisure, Shopping, Night life… Let me be your guide in Madrid and share with me it's unique lifestyle! In Madrid there are options for everyone depending on your personal preferences and I'll be really glad to accompany you. If you are staying in Madrid for a few days its surroundings are also a must, with UNESCO sites like Toledo, Segovia or Ávila. This cities are perfect for a daytrip from Madrid and it's also a very good way to visit and experience unique spots in Spain. And if it's not your first time in Madrid maybe you would like something different and out from the most popular tours like a visit to Madrid Mountains or a Winery tour. I'm looking forward to be your private guide in Madrid and I'll be happy to customize tours for larger groups or special interests, everything is possible… or almost! - Degree in History and Archaeology by Autonoma University of Madrid - Official Licensed Guide of Madrid. Reina Sofía is the national museum of modern art and its located nearby Atocha Train Station. It was inaugurated in 1992 and in terms of cronology its collections continue those of Prado Museum, covering from 1881 (Picasso's D. O. B. ) until nowadays. The museum offers its visitors extensive collections of contemporary artists, among which the Spanish painters Dalí, Miró and Picasso stand out. In Reina Sofía we can admire the famous "Guernica" by Pablo Picasso as well as works by the most relevant painters from surrealism, abstract art and modern trends.
We will meet at the Museums entrance or meeting point next to it. Once in the museum, we will visit for 2 hour the highlights and masterpieces of the collection, with a special focus on Picasso's Guernica. This tour is available for more than 7 people and it's also possible to combine this visit with any other museum like Prado or the Royal Palace, if you're interested in this possibility just let me know. This tour is not avaliable on Tuesdays because the museum is closed.
