I guide in all the most important museums in Madrid and I have the License to guide inside all the Monuments that are part of the National Trust or Heritage (Patrimonio Nacional), like the Royal Palace in Madrid. I have provided tours to so many different people! . . some of them even famous actors from Hollywood, like Morgan Freeman, Robert Downey Jr or Patrick Stewart. In short, if you love History, Art, Culture, and Food, then be sure that Madrid will not dissapoint you. I will be here waiting for you!! This is a nice combination of a private tour. We will start by having an interesting stroll in Retiro Park, (like the Kings in the old times!): at present, the most famous park in Madrid. I usually go for a walk in the park when I do not work, as it is near my home and I love it! You'll discover charming corners at the same time we will talk about the King and Queen's life in the past. We will continue by visiting the Prado Museum, the Paradise for painting lovers! It is considered the first picture gallery of classical paintings in the world. The kings of Spain commissioned and paid to the most important painters in Europe to collect these masterpieces: VELAZQUEZ, GOYA, EL GRECO, RUBENS, TITIAN, BOSCH . . . and many other famous painters. If you choose me as your guide, I will make sure to make those paintings to come alive for you! Royal Nature and art paintings sounds like a plan? Join me for a memorable experience:)
Xlnt tour guide for Retiro Park and the Prada. Very knowledgeable about the history of the artists as well as the important aspects of each Spanish artist during this 4 hour tour.
Every moment with Mariluz was informative and interesting. She maintained her animated pace for over 4 hours on our walking tour through Madrid, and her knowledge of the art at Prado was impressive. She is also an excellent "rea" of her group, as we nearly hugged her when She suggested we take a brief coffee break! Thank you for a delightful day!
Mariluz was the perfect tour guide and was a key ingredient to make our family trip to Madrid an unforgettable experience. We were lucky to book two different tours with her, which proved to be the best way to get to know the city in a few days. Her comments during our visit to the Prado Museum allowed us to enjoy the artwork even more. She went out of her way to accommodate all our needs. She is knowledgeable, engaging, and graceful. We highly recommend her! Thank you for showing us your wonderful city!
A delightful, customized tour of the Prado and the city. After meeting me, Mariluz had us stroll through the central part of the city taking in the history and architecture on the way to the Prado, then back to the hotel down the newer modern shopping avenue. The part in the middle- the Prado- was wonderful. Mariluz guided me through the large collections to key pieces (and some lesser known works), providing a lot of context and history along the way. Definitely recommend this!
I knew we could not go to Madrid without going to the Prado museum, and Mariluz was the perfect guide for us. She shared her knowledge and love of her city with us as she walked us from our hotel to Retiro park, and was so personable, easy to talk to, and completely engaging. I can honestly say we got so much out of our visit to the museum being with Mariluz - she knew how to get us around while avoiding big crowds, and gave us so much information on beautiful and important pieces. Mariluz is a treasure.
We had a lovely tour with Mariluz. We really loved the gardens in particular -- and her knowledge of history and culture added much to the experience. The tour of the Prado was excellent, and we were able to stay longer to see more after the tour. Mariluz also gave us some great ideas of what other things to see while in Madrid.
Place 1 -Alcalá Gate (photo stop and explanations) Place 2 . -Walking in the park Retiro: -The lake (explanations and pictures. -The Cristal Palace (outside or inside) -The Parterre Walking from the Park to Prado Museum (5' walk) Place 3 - Prado Museum: highlights of Velázquez, Goya, El Greco and Bosch.
