¡Hola! Welcome to Madrid! My name is Leonor. I am a professional licensed tour guide who never gets bored exploring the city that I love. I was born in Madrid, but I grew up in Córdoba. I studied in Madrid: I got first the degree in Tourism, and some years later I got the degree in German Philology (UCM University Complutense in Madrid). I worked as a tour leader travelling with groups during five years, but then I realized that I wanted to live in Madrid and work in this fantastic city. Guiding individual clients/groups is my full time job, and I have worked as a local guide since 1999. I love art, history, meeting people from other countries and showing them my city. You can't leave Madrid without having visited one of the best art galleries in the world! The 206-year-old Prado Museum is the main Spanish painting museum. It is considered to have one of the world's finest collections of European art, based on the former Spanish Royal Collection. Antonio Saura ( Spanish painter and writer said): "El museo del Prado no es el más extenso, pero sí el más intenso", which means: "Prado is not the most extensive museum, but the most intensive one". It has got the biggest concentration of masterpieces per square meter in the world! I recommend to visit it with an experienced guide as me to be able to do a selection of the best. Leonor gave us an extremely professional 2 hour private tour of del Prado. Her English was excellent and she really did an amazing job bringing the painters, their techniques and the historical context into perspective. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to absorb the wonders of del Prado at the hands of an expert.

It was our first day in Spain. The Tour of the Prado Miuseo was great. Leonor was amazing. Her knowledge and experience about the artists and each work of art was incredible. This was the first of three tours we had scheduled with Leonor and we are so happy we choose her as our guide.

Leonor's tour of the Prado was fabulous. We love French impressionist which this is definitely not. Being unschooled in the art periods of the Prado, we were very impressed with Leonor's knowledge and enthusiasm. We would have missed so much if we had not had a guide.
