Welcome to all, I am native from Madrid, born in Manresa, family from Asturias, northern Spain and raised in Madrid, since early age I was interested in the arts and history of my city and my country. As time went by I started specializing in the culture of my beloved Madrid where I have been guiding for almost 10 years now! I have special interest in nineteenth century history and Spanish art and I am a great fan of Francisco de Goya, one of the masters one can find in Madrid. As a professional and as the local who grew up in Madrid, I can vouch that neither as an art center no as a social hot spot Madrid would ever let you down. Here you will encounter genuine people and a life of smiles that goes well with tapas and wine. I welcome you all to join me on a walk of the city where we could get the feeling of those people, of the city, the arts and history. As a guide I really care to accommodate to the needs of visitors, I enjoy making your experience entertaining never leaving professionalism aside. My priority is to ensure that people get the most out of their tour and that they get to understand Madrid and end up loving it. What is Madrid for me? It is a way of life, is its streets, is happiness, Madrid is myself! What can you take home from Madrid? You will take from Madrid great memories, amazing flavors, you will get and unforgettable experience and in the end Madrid will take your heart! -Bachelor Degree in Art History from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid -Started doctorate courses in U.A.M of which I finalize two years, main subject is Death Penalty in the figurative art of the Ninnetenth Century in Spain. Doctorate is as for now on hold, to be continued.... -More than 16 years experience as a guide -Official Licenced Guide of Madrid and Aragón -Official Guide of National Heritage -Licensed on Toledo's Cathedral and Toledo Monumental sights

Overview of your Madrid tour

Have already been in Madrid or read all about Hapsbourgs Madrid or every tip on a guide-book? Time to visit the other side. The palaces area, the late nineteenth century developed districts. Let's do something a bit unusual but still very interesting and centric! The idea is go for a walking tour on those least know parts of the city full still of history architecture and arts, but for some reason not as known for Madrid's visitors, is a great way to have a different perspective of our city and at the same time, visiting those places that are a not so touristic but astonishing in several aspects. This tour is unique because not to very many travelers explore this specific areas of Madrid, you can feel how the area is not as packed with visitors but mainly locals, while having at the same time a very rich history. This is the perfect complimentary walking tour to get the most of Madrid with a real madrileño! Madrid is much more than highlights and you'll live a full experience if you let me guide you!

My sister and I had a fabulous "Off the Beaten Track" tour with Enrique. He showed us all around the non-touristy side of Madrid which was exactly what we were hoping for. We especially loved seeing the old model of Madrid in the history of Madrid museum and tasting authentic tapas at a small local pub. We really appreciated his enthusiasm throughout the tour and flexibility to adjust our exploring along the way.

Enrique was terrific. My train was late arriving in Madrid, and he was very understanding and accommodated my late arrival. His enthusiasm for Madrid was contagious, and his knowledge of his city was superb. I highly recommend Enrique as a guide. I look forward to seeing him again on my next trip to Spain.

Enrique gave us an amazing tour of Madrid. We walked through areas tourists don't even know about. His knowledge of the history of Madrid and Spain is incredible, and he explains it very easy to follow and understand. We visited churches and sites that we didn't even heard about, and we had been to Madrid 5 times before this trip. He gave us plenty of extra time and great recommendations on what to do and where to go afterwards. I will call Enrique again on my next trip to Madrid.

A great way to start out our tour of Madrid. Learnt a good deal about the development of the city, its history archecture as well as other useful tips on transport food and places to visit. I enjoyed seeing parts of Madrid away from the usual tourist spots.

Enrique was great. He was knowledgeable and passionate about Madrid and Spanish/European history. He totally tailored the day to us and was very willing to take us to non-touristy areas. He is also a foodie so shared his thoughts on locals places to eat and drink. We would definitely recommend him.
