Welcome to all, I am native from Madrid, born in Manresa, family from Asturias, northern Spain and raised in Madrid, since early age I was interested in the arts and history of my city and my country. As time went by I started specializing in the culture of my beloved Madrid where I have been guiding for almost 10 years now! I have special interest in nineteenth century history and Spanish art and I am a great fan of Francisco de Goya, one of the masters one can find in Madrid. As a professional and as the local who grew up in Madrid, I can vouch that neither as an art center no as a social hot spot Madrid would ever let you down. Here you will encounter genuine people and a life of smiles that goes well with tapas and wine. A nice and fun way of getting to know the city from its most social important part: Food! It is well known around the world the passion that we Spaniards have in relationship with our gastronomy. This tour is about tapas, beer and wine: a worthy journey through local perfumes and savours. We'll visit taverns, restaurants and bars and learning their history while satisfying our appetite! We'll taste some of the delicious dishes we prepare with so much love: ox tale, tortilla de patata, pulpo a la gallega, cecina de León and lots of culinary pleasures! The tours is a sweet Combo of History, Social Life, and of course Traditional Cuisine I come form a Family in which gastronomy has been key for our education, so our tour is non touristy at all, basically we'll go to the taverns & markets I usually go to with friends: I have a great knowledge of the scene and I always tailor the experience based on your tastes. Is a win win experience you should go for. I guarantee your appetite will be satisfied: join me!
Enrique did an amazing job showing us around Madrid! He exposed us to the wide culinary range that the city holds along with new cultural experiences. We got to see where the locals eat, hang out, and buy their food. Enrique did a great job of attending to our dietary restrictions as well!
Enrique was knowledgeable, friendly, and was able to take me where the locals dined instead of tourist traps. I ate well, learned quite a bit, and thoroughly enjoyed his company. Enjoyed the food so much I went back to one of the places again the next day.
Enrique guided us through an interesting and wonderful gastronomic tour of the older section of Madrid. We stopped at four or five bars/restaurants to sample different regional delicacies, white and red wine, vermouth locally made. It was well planned and executed. Five out of five stars.
Perfect food tour. Tried a lot of amazing local food. Enrique was very knowledgeable and knew a lot of great local places. Great sense of humor and very personable.

Enrique was extremely entertaining while taking us across the wide range of Spanish gastronomic history. He was very dynamic and yet his approach created a real dialogue with us so that he drew from us additional questions that a less dynamic approach might not have been able to achieve. There was a fair amount of walking involved in the tour but we spent far more time in eating establishments and walking or eating the conversation never lagged. A great way to end our tour to Madrid!
Itinerary will always be adapted to travelers pick up location, but most accurate area will be various of the city center areas. We will always start the tour from your hotel, and then we will walk our way trough the city, small alleys, corners, from groceries to markets, small bars, The itinerary always may vary from where travelers are staying and from them we will be hitting the streets and its wonderful stops along the way! -Local Market (Walk by, taste local products, Meet local vendors) -Latina District (Get to know the area, history, traditions, visit local stablishmemts) -Letters District (Get to know the area, History, Photos, tasting) -Local Taverns (non touristy) All of my tours are flexible and can be build upon traveller preferences!
