I dedicate my life to tourism and cultural trips. I am a passionate person of my city and I enjoy teaching it to people who want to know. I have been lucky enough to be able to travel around the world and I like that people in my tours feel comfortable and not as a tourist, that is hospitality. Just like incredible collections such as the Frick (NYC), Stewart Gardner (Boston), Wallace (London), Galleria Borghese (Roma) or Jacquemart-André (Paris)... Lazaro Galdiano Museum is a hidden gem! and nobody else can show better than me this museum, since I worked in it for several years and I know all its secrets. In Madrid there are many museums, but none is like this. For about 2.5 hours we will enjoy together an old mansion that preserves the private collection of art pieces by the collector José Lázaro, who lived in this palace. It was the family mansion of a rich businessman at the beginning of the 20th century. Currently in its interior there are almost 13, 000 works of art. The museum is located in a luxurious palace where each room is more beautiful and mysterious than the previous one. The house maintains the original spirit and decoration and on the walls there are works by the most famous masters of painting. We will admire the house, one of the most Luxurious in the city.
In this palace-museum you will discover: -An introduction (5 minutes approximately) about the life of the collector Lázaro Galdiano, born in the 19th century and we will talk about his interesting but also sad life because full of several dramatic and mysterious events. -We can also surprise ourselves in the Treasure Chamber (a room full of jewels, gold and diamonds) -We'll observe the stained glass window of a Gothic cathedral or we'll stop in front of some furniture that are authentic unique pieces. -We'll enter a room exclusively dedicated to the great painter Goya. -We'll stop at the Flemish Painting Room and see an impressive painting by the famous and mysterious Hieronymus Bosch. -In other rooms I'll explain to you paintings by Velázquez, El Greco, Mirillo, Zurbarán. . . -We'll also deep in into the decoration of each room and the secrets hidden in the paintings on the ceilings. -Finally we'll walk through the beautiful gardens The itinerary can be adapted to traveler's interests: contact me!
