Dear travelers, I am a Licensed tour guide for all the region of Andalucia, and I'm currently working as a self-employed tour guide in Granada. I hold a degree in Art History and I'm specialized in Architecture and Cultural Heritage; I'm also trained in Building Techniques, as an expert in Restoration, and therefore my professional background includes fields as Restoration & Archaeology. But I also do love traveling as well, and I've worked in many different areas in the Tourism Industry, which makes me aware of the importance of a flawless and straightforward customer service. I enjoy solo traveling and I've travelled through Europe with an Interrail Pass twice; I've lived in many different places, including a ten-month stay in the USA during my sophomore year in high school; around two years in Italy learning about restoration, and other two years in the UK working as an archaeologist. I always try to get the most out of what life has to offer. The tours I provide in Granada include the Alhambra & Generalife complex or Walking Tours in different parts of the city as Albayzín & Sacromonte, Cathedral, etc. But let me know which are your particular interests and I will design a bespoke tour especially for you! I'm also a real foodie, as my parents had a lovely family restaurant when I was a teenager and we've always been really interested both in traditional gastronomy and in Nouvelle cuisine, and we love to try all the new restaurants in town! Therefore, I also do Tapas Tours, and I have designed a Vegan/vegetarian Tapas Tour, specially conceived for people with food restrictions who want to enjoy a truly Tapas experience in Granada (something sometimes difficult if you don't know where to go!!). All my Tapas Tours are also adapted for people with mobility issues. . . same as the Alhambra tour (not so easy for the City Tour though, but we can always try to give you the best solution, of course!). And obviously, apart from guiding you around Granada, I can also give you some good advices about the best places to eat and where you can find that perfect & unique souvenir. . . So, if you're coming to Granada, and want to get the most out of it, do not hesitate to contact me!! Marina :) 2008 Master's Degree in Architecture and Cultural Heritage - University of Sevilla. 2005 Bachelor's Degree in Art History - University of Granada. 2004 Building techniques for heritage conservation - Centro Albayzín, Granada. Licensed tour guide for Andalucia, nº1881 Authorized interpreter for the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba, nº119 Authorized interpreter for the Picasso Museum in Málaga. None

A full day tour that will help you get the most out of your journey in Granada, visiting the beautiful Alhambra & Generalife gardens but also the most iconic places in the city. Depending on the time you've chosen to access into the Nasrid Palaces, I will design the perfect day for you, including the best suggestions for restaurants or Tapas bar, taking into account your preferences. Do you prefer a fancy and quiet place with more elaborate dishes? or something more casual and traditional? (just let me know, I know them all!) Would you like to discover the gypsy and troglodyte district of the Sacromonte? it's a place full of history, with an amazing landscape, where you can understand the roots of the flamenco culture. . . I would love to take you there since it's one of my favorite places on earth! And of course, we could visit the UNESCO listed Albayzín, including the famous "Mirador de San Nicolás" and the City Center, in the lower part of town. . . always adapting the tour to your pace and interests!!
*This tour could be customized in each case depending on your scheduled time for the Nasrid Palaces, your physical conditions and the climatic circumstances, but ideally we would: -Meet at the main entrance of the Alhambra to start the tour from there -Spend three hours visiting this extraordinary monument -Then we would head down to Granada through the beautiful "Paseo del Rey Chico" -Go towards the Sacromonte and Albayzin districs -Walk and climb through the sinuous steps with amazing views -We can stop and have tapas in two or three different places to discover what "tapear en Granada" really means, or. . . -I can suggest you a lovely restaurant where you can take a well-deserved rest -After lunch, we would descend downtown where we could visit: *The Cathedral of Granada *The Royal Chapel where the Catholic Kings are buried *The former silk market or an old "caravanserai" -Or I can show you where you can have the best Churros&Chocolate, or where to buy that perfect and unique souvenir. . .

This is a Walking Tour The city of Granada has a typical medieval urbanism with many narrow streets and cobbled stairs, where cars cannot go through. Besides this, must of the city center and the old town has traffic restrictions, so the most peculiar and beautiful spots can only be discovered on foot. This is why I propose you a Walking Tour; but if you have any mobility restrictions I can organize a customized tour for you using taxis or a private transport if needed.
Granada, Andalusia, Spain
Depending on our itinerary and the time you choose to access into the Nasrid Palaces of the Alhambra, I would suggest you different meeting points.
