If truly understanding the history of this monument orated by a fun and vivacious guide, Blanca IS YOUR GUIDE. In 4 hours we felt wed had a 1/2 semester of architectural history in Alhambra 101. Blanca started with her history book, large format maps and images that she drew over with outlines of territories and dates as she explained how the Alhambra came to be and why. If you're a history person (social, political, art/architecture, infrastructure), touring this PhD. and author of a new book on the Alhambra, you will come away with a robust understanding of this place. Lunch at a lovely Alhambra restaurant for a Q&A over a tasty local meal made for a most enjoyable afternoon. Don't be concerned about a 4 hour tour, she is a most entertaining as she gives meaning to what you're seeing.

Blanca is the BEST tour guide we have ever had with all our years of traveling! She was informative, interesting, patient, humorous, and insightful. She guides with a portfolio of dry erase maps, drawings, and photos that bring the experience alive. It is like a history lesson like we have never had before. She has such a passion for the area and the Alhambra with her rich educational background and heritage. I will recommend her to everyone I know who is traveling in this area. We tried to book her for an additional tour and she was unfortunately unavailable. She assisted with our plans every step of the way and gave us great insights into the rest of our trip. HIGHLY recommend!

Blanca provided an awesome tour of the Alhambra. From the start at the Gate of Justice to the "Gardens of the Alhambra", she provided details on the political/historical dynamics with easy to understand presentation materials and explanations which for me was a nice way to understand the historical/cultural and humanity of the region as well as to Spanish history in general. She possesses great details and shared them at every stop along of the way- an incentive to learn more about Spain and its rich history. Blanca, made great use of self-disclosure and suggestions for other sites in the Granada area added to a fantastic, a lifetime in waiting, trip to Granada!
