My name is Karin. I am German and I came to Granada as a language student in 1994. I wanted to improve my Spanish at the University of Granada after a first professional education in Germany. I fell in love with this country and especially with the South of Spain, Andalusia. It is very rich in history and culture. I decided to stay and to study Tourism in Granada and Seville. At the same time, I began to work as a tour guide for cultural groups throughout Spain. I started guiding in Andalusia but soon I worked in other areas in Spain. I am a very curious person, I love to read and I was always interested in the history of persons, places and the way of life of the people. I have a guiding experience of more than 20 years. Up to the present moment I have done a lot of different tours, like tours with the historic Al-Andalus train throughout Spain, religious groups, pilgrimage tours to the tomb of Saint Jacob in Santiago de Compostela, incentive tours, gastronomic tours, botanical tours, etc. That's still part of my professional life. And as I love to do different tours and themes, I can look over a rich variety of knowledge and experience. This country offers an amazing variety of activities, culture and nature. Since 2015 I got the license as a local guide for Andalusia. That's the reason why I work more and more in Granada and its province. This area is a place of great historical and cultural interest, a real melting point of different races and cultures. I would like to share my fascination and impressions with you. I can offer different tours, stressing on different themes and visiting different places in Granada and its province. I can adapt it to your wishes. I combine my experience as a tour leader throughout Spain with my deep knowledge about local places and topics. I am convinced that it is a great advantage for you. Let me surprise you. . . hope to see you soon. - Degree in Tourism - TEAT (Sevilla) - Official license for guiding in Granada and Andalusia (License from the Government of Andalusia) - Member of AGIP (Association of official guides in Granada). For transport outside Granada, I only use licensed drivers with their authorized limousines.

Visiting the Alhambra is going back in time and submerging yourself into a different culture. It was the palace city of the last muslim dynasty of Al-Andalus. The Nasrids reached for the last time an amazing cultural height despite their numerous political problems. Due to a favourable economy and a skilled diplomacy, they could build and live this last dream of earthly paradise for nearly 250 years that still impresses its visitors . Piled up on top of the last foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain chain it looks still majestically over the university city of Granada. Observing the bare cubic forms of its palaces, you cannot imagine the breath-taking beauty of its courtyards. The elegance and harmony of its forms as well as the impressing knowledge of craftsmanship of its decoration in marble, wood, glass and plaster make the visit unforgettable. The water which is used as a symbol likewise for live and power is ubiquitous and connects the palace city with the Generalife. Its visit is a delight.
Please buy in advance your entrance tickets on the following webpage which is the only official one of the Patronat of the Alhambra: www. alhambra-patronato. es You need ALHAMBRA GENERAL tickets to see all the parts of the palace city. We meet at the colourful Alhambra wall map next to the main entrance of the Alhambra. It is important that you bring also your personal document with you. It will be requested several times durting the visit through the Alhambra. We visit together the extraordinary palace city of the Alhambra with all its parts, the Nasrid palaces, the fortress and the Generalife with its gardens. The itinerary depends on the entrance time for the Nasrid Palaces. It will take us about 3, 5 hours. End of my services.
