Hello! I'm Asier hard name even for Spanish speakers, my name is in the Basque language and it's because I'm a son of a mixed family in the north and south Spain. Born and raised in Granada however, I fell in love with my own city since I was a child. Granada, it's also a combination of cultures and that's something that really interested me since I was a kid. From a young age, I wanted to learn more about my city, the city of Alhambra so after school, I decided to study Art History. I graduated specializing in Spanish Muslim Art and Architecture. I always had the feeling that Granada is the perfect place to understand the melting pot that is the History of Spain and I had the need to show that to everyone, this is why I started to work as a freelance official Tour Guide, which for me it's not a job it's vocational. During our visits, we will try to understand Granada and Alhambra from a different perspective. Not as tourists but more as an insider. You will learn about History, Art, Architecture, and Gastronomy, with a different and unique approach. Let me show you as a local why in my opinion, being in Granada it's the best experience in the world. Art Historian by the University of Granada ( UGR) Studies in Art History by the University of Leuven ( Belgium , KU Leuven) Official Tour Guide by the region of Andalusia ( License N 1994) Eight Years of experience as Freelance Tour Guide in the city of Granada and the Alhambra I do not have any restrictions in regard to my guiding, I can offer a full range of experiences

Asier is an amazing guide! He’s very knowledgeable, very thorough, and a real pleasure to spend time with. I would give him 10 stars if it were an option.
We had high expectations for our visit to Alhambra, but the guided tour we received from Asier made it a truly exceptional experience. His knowledge spans multiple disciplines which enhanced our understanding of the global historical significance of Alhambra and the city of Granada more broadly. We really loved Asier and would strongly recommend him for anyone considering his services.
Our group of four—two adults and two older teens—had an amazing experience touring the Alhambra with Asier. His tour was engaging, approachable, and packed with fascinating insights about the site’s history, architecture, and cultural significance. He explained the intricate details of the Nasrid Palaces, the Generalife gardens, and the blend of Islamic, Christian, and Renaissance influences in a way that kept all of us interested and informed. I’m so glad we didn’t try to tour the Alhambra without a guide. Asier’s explanations brought the site to life and helped us appreciate details we would have completely missed on our own. If you’re planning a visit, I highly recommend booking a tour with him—it’s absolutely worth it.
The Alhambra is a massive and beautifully preserved complex of buildings, gardens and courtyards that is impossible to view in its entirety in one morning. However, Asier our guide was able to cover the highlights of the complex. His approach was to present the complex as it would be viewed by a visitor seeking an audience with the current Sultan. This approach helped make sense of the rooms, courtyards and gardens that make up the Alhambra complex. The tour was excellent and helped us when we returned to the complex on our own without a guide. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Asier is an excellent guide for the Alhambra. He is savvy about timing to avoid the big crowds, he knows how to negotiate through people and get you to the best viewing spots, and he will take great pictures of you along the way. He knows his stuff, and he shares a ton of info about the history, architecture, culture, plants, etc. that you will see as you tour the gardens, the military base, living quarters, and meeting spaces of the Sultans. Asier is also funny, kind, and polite. He is definitely a pleasure to spend time with. We would highly recommend his tour, as he takes care of your tickets and has an excellent approach to helping you wrap your head around the amazing Alhambra experience.
