Some of our favorite moments came from discussing everyday life in Granada, comparing cultures, and learning what it's like to call this remarkable city home. By the end of the day, it felt as though we had spent time with an old friend rather than a tour guide. Nono also introduced us to some of Granada's local treasures beyond the historical sites. We enjoyed lunch and beers at a beloved local spot where he encouraged us to try salmorejo. That recommendation alone was worth the tour—we became instant fans. Between the salmorejo, gazpacho, and other local flavors, we're now trying to recreate a little piece of Spain back home. Our day continued with a leisurely walk through Granada's charming streets, visits to the cathedral and other notable landmarks, and, of course, a stop for gelato before heading back to the hotel. It was the perfect balance of history, culture, food, and authentic local experiences. The best testament to how full and satisfying the day was? We fell asleep on the drive back to our hotel. Nono's tour left us completely exhausted—in the very best way possible. Looking back on our trip to Spain, our day in Granada with Nono stands out as one of our absolute favorite experiences.
