Alhambra and Generalife Gardens Private Walking Tour

The Alhambra is quite amazing. And the tour was very good. The one problem was that the guide often spoke too fast, and, since his Spanish accent was strong, I sometimes could not understand him. But both my grandson and I thought the tour was very worthwhile. We learned much about the Alhambra, as well as the Spanish palace. Now we will need to read more about it, since everything cannot be absorbed in three hours.

Jose was a perfect guide-- flexible when changes to the schedule were possible, persistent when it was not. His knowledge was deep and extensive both in ancient and contemporary domain. At rare occasions when he couldn't answer our questions he was not afraid to admit it and then tried to research and follow up. He was also kind enough to provide some local help and advice including recommending his colleague in another city, which proved very helpful.

Jose was an outstanding tour guide! We did a half day tour of the Alhambra. Jose is personable, friendly and very knowledgable about the history, art and architecture of the Alhambra and surrounding areas. You can tell he cares deeply about the history of preservation of this wonderful structure. He made our trip to the Alhambra very special and would highly recommend touring with Jose to fully understand and appreciate fully the Alhambra. We are a family of four and were traveling with our two young daughters (8 and 5 years old). Jose did an amazing job keeping them interested and engaged throughout our tour (not an easy task). Overall an excellent tour of Alhambra and we were happy with the high level of knowledge from our guide José. The palaces are phenomenol and he helped us appreciate it more. Clear communication and information prior helped us also. Highly recommend.

Jose was amazing. We were last minute clients and he went out of his way to find tickets for us (we got incredibly lucky) and was very open and honest with us about what would happen if he couldn’t find tickets ( we would get a refund). BUT HE DID! We took this tour as a family with my wife and my 18-year-old son and Jose spent a lot of time with us through two separate sessions to make sure we really understood this magnificent palace. His knowledge and understanding of the region, the palace itself, the history was impeccable. Furthermore he spent real energy trying to connect with my 18-year-old son and that was meaningful.
