South Africa, what a lovely country of diverse flora, fauna, culture and history! I have a passion for this beautiful country, it's landscape's and scenery are one of the most beautiful in the world. South Africa has so much to offer, the wildlife and natural vegetation is so diverse, wild and bold and I have an amazing passion for the country that I was born in. I love to show traveler's the " Off the beaten track" places in and around Cape Town and the surroundings on day trips. I am a qualified registered Tourist Guide for South Africa (registered to guide in all 9 PROVINCES) guide reg no:WC8777 with specialties in the Western Cape, Cape Town Environment and Cape Wine Industry. I have lived in South Africa for all of my life and have been very interested in the history and culture of our country and enjoy sharing my knowledge with other people. I enjoy working and compiling different day tours and itineraries to suit the individual and can work out a special tour to suit my travelers request. The routes that I use will show my guests different aspects of the countryside and also certain points of interest. Most of my tours include an authentic cultural experience from the places we visit to the food you indulge in, 'experience the heart and soul of Africa'. Each experience tells a story of Africa and it's diverse heritage, culture, natural wild life and beauty. I strive to deliver the best that is on offer, a unique, quality filled informative personal tour experience. My passion to becoming a Tourist guide started in 2009 when I first began studying for my Cultural Guiding Course and progressing to becoming a South African National Guide. I have set up a small Tour Operating Company which I also operate and take pride in. I am a great supporter of nature conservation especially the protection of endangered species, and I help in protecting our Rhino's, Elephants and Wildlife from being poached! I sponsor the penguin colony breeding shelters. I enjoy the amazing response that is shown from the tourist when they see the diverse wildlife and the awe inspiring moments of meeting the local culture, it is such a pleasure to share those moments and know they will definitely take these splendid memories back home with them, and to be part of that is just amazing! The best part of being a a local guide is conducting a private tour which is so personal and you will feel more comfortable if you have more insight about the guide before going on the tour with them. My tours are family orientated and I will compile a tour to suit you and your families interests. You can also ' hang out with the locals" I can arrange an outing with the local's from shopping to eating with the local's. You can choose what you want to do, I will arrange it (within limits)! Come and discover the treasures that our part of the world has to offer and let me take you on a journey to experience " THE ESSENCE OF AFRICA" with a local guide! - I am a qualified registered National Tourist Guide for South Africa. Take a journey with me to explore the Western Cape Wineries, you will be taken on a fascinating journey through beautiful winelands, rugged mountain landscapes, breathtaking scenery , enjoy the pleasant countryside tasting wine, sumptuous food and share in the cultures of the people and age old Cape Winelands. Think 'wine', think South Africa and one immediately thinks of the Cape. Because wine and its South African history is inextricably interwoven with the beautiful hinterlands of Cape Town and the broader Cape environs. While taking a group of travellers on a guided wine tour I try to give them a variety of different wine estates each with a different theme, some estates have a luxurious simplicity and others are more down to earth and homely. Highlights: X3 Wine Estates, one with Cheese Pairing at beautiful wine estates. Lunch
Pick up from accommodation or cruise terminal @ 8.30 Drive towards the Cape Winelands. Stop at Fairview Wine Estate for Cheese and Wine tasting and pairing. Drive through Stellenbosch to the beautiful wine estate Stark Conde. Enjoy lunch and a wine tasting. Drive to Franschhoek Explore the town. Last wine tasting @ a boutique family run estate.
