Enjoyed every moment with Thami. He is a knowledgeable and great story teller who made our experience really special spending more time where we wanted and adding in local food along the way to help tell the history and culture of Tangier. Highly recommend!

Thami was excellent right from the get-go. Immediately after booking our tour for our family of 4, I reached out to suggest the things we were not interested in, and some alternate things we would enjoy and he was more than happy to accommodate our wishes. Communication was quick, clear and efficient. On the day of the tour we knew exactly where to go to meet. Thami was on time and greeted us by inviting us to sit and have coffee/water and chat before we started. It was great to get to know each other before heading out. Throughout the tour, Thami was very knowledgable about the history of everything we experienced. During our walk in the old town, he knew the shortcuts and was adept at navigating us to the key features while also keeping us away from the large crowds. It was evident by the number of people that greeted him during our tour that he is friendly and well-respected in the area. He was eager to share with us his favourite traditional treats/drinks from each location which was an added bonus! He'd ask us to wait for a moment and then return with a delicious pastry, tea or candy. YUM! The van was clean, roomy and great for site-seeing with large windows. He was flexible on time in each location...we never felt rushed during the tour and had the opportunity to explore each highlight at our own pace. Very much appreciated. The tour was enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommend Thami for your guide!

If you're looking for a perfect, comprehensive one day tour of Tangier and the surrounding areas, this is it! This was our first visit to Morocco, and we're already planning to return. Me and my family of four were staying in Malaga for the week, and we decided to take a Wednesday to visit Tangier. After taking the ferry and getting to our meeting point, Thami and our driver picked us up in a really nice van and drove us all around the outskirts of Tangier and then we did an incredible walking tour of the Medina. We were never rushed, and we felt like we saw much more than we'd expected. From the incredible food, to the wide variety of shopping options, to meeting locals and having authentic experiences, this was the highlight of our 2 week vacation. I've been lucky enough to take dozens of tours all around the world, and I can say that no tour guide knows their area of expertise better than Thami.

10/10 experience will definitely recommend to all my friends and family visiting tangier. Great communication and made it a pleasure.

This was my first trip via Tours by Locals and it did not disappoint. Thami was a great tour guide, with an itinerary planned to show us Tangier, with options for highlights based on politics, culture or shopping if we wished. The tour also included lunch in a local restaurant which was a highlight of the trip. The transport was clean, air conditioned and Thami provided water. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking to have a private tour from a local in Tangier.
