Tangier Private Shore Excursion

The scenic part of the tour including Perdicaris Park and Cape Spartel was beautiful. You might skip the Cave of Hercules and save the $8 entry cost (only Moroccan cash accepted). Back in Tangier, our guide knew the medina and kasbah very well and gave us a great feeling for its many narrow streets and shops. You may wish to ask him to abbreviate this part since we found it quite lengthy, and skip the normal stop at a friendly spice merchant to sniff (and sell) local spices. There are a moderate amount of steps up and down and length, so those with mobility concerns may ask for a shorter route or earlier pick-up point.

We absolutely loved our tour with Abdelmoghit and highly recommend him as your guide. His tour was a highlight on our 16 day cruise of the Mediterranean. When I first contacted Abdelmoghit about giving us tour, I told him that two of us in our party of four, had mild mobility issues. He was very kind and offered to modify his offered tour to accommodate us. He took us to some highlights of special areas outside the walled areas of Tangiers, stopped so we could have a traditional tea and pastry experience in a very lovely tea restaurant, a camel ride and then ended our tour in the Kasbah and the Medina. He seemed to know everyone we passed as many people stopped to greet him as we walked around. He even stopped at a friend's house so we could go in and look at the beautiful architecture of his home, a home owned by the same family for 300 years. In addition, he knew how to avoid the Souks with aggressive sellers, and guided us to some very lovely places to buy high quality items. His tour seemed very personal and very educational while also making it fun! Abelmoghit has a very kind and gentle personality, but also a lovely sense of humor. Not only is he very knowledgeable of his own country and city, but also of much of the world. Oh - and he also communicated well - quickly and was prompt at our meeting point. The car was large, brand new and very spacious, and his driver, Mohammed, were a fabulous addition to our tour. It was a beautiful, fun and fabulous learning experience for us all. We would love to go back and have him show us more!

Bruno was great! He was very knowledgeable, and customized the tour for us. The walk and shopping in the old city was wonderful, and something we could not have done without him.

Great tour with a very local feel as Abdel is from Tangier. We saw lots of places and had a fantastic lunch. Wonderful day!!!

Being a bit apprehensive of wandering the Kasbah alone, we four adults engaged Abdel for the day as our private guide. He was wonderful. Knowledgeable. Fluent and kind. We wandered through the narrow and twisting alleys with relaxed ease knowing Abdel was at our side. We'd done research into certain shops we wanted to visit, food we wanted to try, and crafts we wanted to see. Abdel took us straight through and provided a customized curated experience. We got off the main pathways to experience the corners. We determined the pace and he accommodated and satisfied each of our curiosities. Abdel was a diplomat balancing our group's interpersonal styles, personalities and needs. He was the perfect private guide.

Great tour the guide is very knowledgeable and native to Tangier. I would recommend him to any visitor, in spite of some difficulties we encountered he overcame them and provided an excellent experience.
