Tangier has been known for being an international city. Asilah is a small fish town often missed by many but well worth the 45-minute drive. My friends and I usually visit asilah to look at its beautiful alleyways, to find a less busy and quiet place to hangout, to swim and the beach, and to check out the festivals. Both cities are fun to roam and explore. Every year Asilah has an art festival where artist come and fill the white-washed walls with their art. Both cities are full of history and has been well preserved. Growing up my family always liked asilah since it was so close we would be able to explore another city and it was an inexpensive trip. Come and explore these cities!
Hamid did a great job of sharing information about Morocco and everything we saw on this tour. He listened well to our family's areas of interest and accommodated all our random questions. It was fun to navigate all the small alleys in the shopping areas and we LOVED his selection of a lunch location for us! Our day tour of Tangier with Hamid could not have been better. Among the highlights were a visit to a busy, colorful marketplace and the old Jewish quarter. Hamid's suggestion to visit the beautiful seaside village of Asilah was brilliant! We were able to get a true sense of authentic Morocco during our 45 minute drive. (A special thanks to Eunice, our driver). The best part of the day? I had the opportunity to ride a camel!

Our guide Hamid was wonderful! had everything organized, provided great advice on ferry schedule to return and gave us a wonderful day in Morocco! we learned so much about the country - much more than we would have gotten on our own or with the hop on/hop off bus. My wife and I had a wonderful tour of Tangier and Assilah with Hamid B. He met us at the Tarifa ferry and took us for a tour for 7 hours including lunch. Hamid is very knowledgeable not only about Morocco but was also able to connect Morocco to the rest of the Arab world, Europe and North America. We recommend him highly.
