Exploring Tangier Private Tour

Since this was our first trip to Morocco we wanted a private tour so we booked with Abdelmoghit and it was money well spent as we were able to see so much of Tangiers in such a short amount of time but it didn't feel rushed either. We learned so much as Abdelmoghit was knowledgeable in the history of Tangiers/Morroco, as well as current events. The day before our scheduled tour, he contacted me via ToursbyLocals and WhatsApp to let me know where to meet him. He and his driver arrived on time and we spent the next 6.5 hours hitting all the highlights of Morocco. He also took us to this amazing restaurant for lunch where we had lamb and chicken tagine. We walked through the Medina where we stopped by a few stores because I told him I wanted to buy babouches (shoes). And while he said he knew the store owners, he mentioned a few times that there was no pressure to buy and if we didn't like the items then we can leave with no hard feelings.

Abdel was an excellent tour guide and Mohammad the driver was kind as could be. We had preconceived ideas of what Morocco would be like and we were completely wrong, which made us laugh. There was a nice balance between enjoying nature, seeing historical sites, having some local treats, and finishing off at the bazaar. Abdel really knows his stuff and Mohammad made us feel safe with his driving skills.

Abdelmoghit E. was a fantastic tour guide! My husband and I had a full day private tour in Tangier. Abdelmoghit was knowledgeable, friendly, and open in talking with us. We learned so much. He took us to the major sites and we were able to see the landscape outside the city. He walked us through the Medina, which was great as I'm sure we would have gotten lost on our own. He brought us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch, as well as an earlier stop for delicious pastries. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with the tour he provided. Highly recommend Abdelmoghit E.!

Our family has taken many different private tours in many countries. This was one of our favorites. Yes Adbel was very informative and gave us insight into Moroccan culture and history. He is superb! You will not be disappointed. Adbel was top notch. He takes extra effort to avoid touristy places within reason, answers any question you might have with grace and professionalism. He does things behind the scenes to give you a more premium experience than you might even know (we only know because we asked him and watched his interactions with others). I was hesitant to spend 6 hours with a guide but by the end it was more like spending a day with an old friend. Mohammed our driver was also wonderful and very professional. Never will you feel unsafe. Adbel modified our tour because of the cave closure (holiday) as well as taking us to a reputable argan oil seller and jeweler for my wife. Adbel also arranged with Mohammed to take us to the American Ligation Center wait for us with our luggage then drop us off at the train station the next day. If you ask, Adbel will do his best to help.

An outstanding experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and communicative and truly had a love and understanding of Tangier and Morocco. At one point, we simply stopped for coffee and talked with him for over a half hour as he discussed Tangier and Morocco and his and his family's experiences. He was able to adjust the standard tour to meet our requests. Truly a wonderful time.

Abdel was a wonderful guide on our cruise stop in Tangier. The tour was exactly as described but what made it exceptional was Abdel himself. He’s lived in Tangier his whole life and he brought us to his favorite spots in the Kasbah and the Medina. Great food. Great shopping without pressure. Great history and culture and stories. Highly recommend Abdel!!
