Overview of your Tangier tour
Be engulfed in Moroccan culture with the perspective of a local. You will depart and begin your tour with sightseeing and a drive to Cap Spartel, East Tangier, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean sea. Ride camels near the Atlantic Ocean and visit the Hercules caves (2500 years old) where Hercules is said to have lived. Discover the medina which is the oldest part of the city. This is where you will begin the walking tour starting with the Kasbah (old fortress) Wander through the narrow streets and discover the rich history within the old city. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant with Moroccan cuisine. Visit the museum, followed by the Mendoubia Gardens and Saint Andrews Church. You will also have an opportunity to shop in local artesian markets. Concluding the tour you will have free time or a time to relax at a local coffee to drink the Moroccan tea.

Achraf was an amazing guide - knowledgeable, personable and very accommodating. He speaks fluent english, has new and very comfortable car. He showed us everything we were hoping to see and much more! The most amazing thing about Achraf is that he knows literally everyone - in the old town he brought us to a snake charmer who was handling a big cobra and then introduced us to him afterwards so that he let our son handle one of his less deadly charges. In the Hercules caves he handed us to an old guide who grew up playing in it as a kid 70 years ago who whisked us in ahead of the line and shown us hidden sites and views we would have never found on our own. Introduced us to the camel owners who let us play with baby camels and got us a ride ahead of all the tourists waiting in line. He is very knowledgeable about everything from local customs and traditions to the history of the country and its political system. We loved every minute of the tour!

We had an amazing time in Tangier. Our guide Archaf and driver Omar were outstanding. Archaf greeted us as soon as we got off the ferry and was with us the entire time. He took us to some amazing places and his local knowledge was tremendous. I recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great trip to Tangier!!

Achraf was amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable and apparently knows everyone in Tangier! He was also able to move us quickly through the areas we wanted to visit and was extremely flexible. Our crowd loved visiting the Camels but the market visit and Achrafs knowledge of the area and the culture was also a highlight! Can’t recommend this tour enough!

We were very very lucky to have Achraf give us a full day tour of Tangier. We originally booked the tour for 5 hours, but Achraf was kind enough to extend our tour for another 3 hours. By far, the best tour we have ever taken. Very knowledgeable about the history of Tangier and knew everyone in the old town. Achraf and his parents and siblings actually lived in the Medina during his childhood; which further enhanced our understanding of the culture and people of Tangier. Achraf is the best ! To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, please make sure to book your ferry from Tarifa to Tangier Ville Port. This is the only route connected to the city center and the starting point of my tours. Please do not book from Algeciras, because that route arrives at Tangier Med Port, which is located 1 hour and 30 minutes away from the city center. Tours do not start from Tangier Med, and the long distance will shorten your experience.
