Tangier Half-day Tour

What an amazing day we had in Tangier! This was our first visit to the city—and our first time on the African continent—so it was an experience we had been looking forward to for a long time. It exceeded every expectation. Mohammed H. was an outstanding guide. His knowledge of Tangier, its history, and its culture was impressive, but what really stood out was his genuine enthusiasm and pride for the city where he grew up. His warm smile, infectious laugh, and easygoing personality made him an absolute pleasure to spend the day with. Conversation flowed effortlessly, and it felt less like being shown around by a tour guide and more like exploring the city with a longtime friend. A special thank you as well to our driver, Jafar, who navigated the busy streets with ease and made every pickup and drop-off effortless. Together, they made a terrific team. We visited many of Tangier's highlights, and Mohammed seamlessly incorporated a few special requests into our itinerary without missing a beat. One of our favorite memories was walking through the bustling markets and watching Mohammed greet what seemed like everyone we passed. It was a joy to see his genuine interactions with so many local residents, and it quickly became obvious how well known and respected he is throughout the city. At one point, I jokingly told him he must be the "Mayor of Tangier!" It certainly felt that way. Mohammed and Jafar, thank you for making our first visit to Tangier so memorable. We left with a much deeper appreciation for the city, its people, and its culture. Mohammed..what can I say other than exceptional! A tour guide who is so passionate about his career,you wonder whether you should change yours. He is charming,polite,highly educated,enthusiastic and speaks multiple languages well. For half a day we floated along cobbled streets behind the elegant white robed figure. From the modern city to the Kasbah,we learned much about the history and culture of his city,Tangier. The drive to Cap Spartel & Hercules caves was really worthwhile, something worth doing.

If I could write a novel re: Mohammed, I would! What a charming, warm & informative gentleman! From the very first greeting he was so genuine. The tour was complete, interesting and exciting. It is hard to know if it was Mohammed's tour that made Tangiers so magical or him! The restaurant he found for us was as though we were floating above the City. I had certain needs & without even asking him he accommodated me and with such grace. We were together for 5 hrs. but I felt as though I knew him for years.
