Chefchouan known as the blue pearl or the Blue city is situated in the north part of morocco between the Riff Mountains, 120 kilometers from Tangier. The city of Chefchaouen was founded by Moulay Ali ben Rachid AL-Alami in 1471 as a base for the Riffian Berber to start and to stop attacking the Portuguese coming from Ceuta. Chefchouan is unique because it's a small city surrounded by mountains and waterfalls. It's the perfect place to take in the mountainous surroundings which provide a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. It's also the perfect spot for people to explore the blue maze-like streets and traditional shops. The city is also known for its small medina and small alleys which we will roam through following a tour of the small kasbah. The kasbah is located in the center of the city. This blue-washed village is the best place to both explore and relax.
Achraf is a super nice and very knowledgeable guide who took four of us on a shore excursion from Tangier to Chefchouan - a spectacular destination for a day trip. It's a long drive, but worth the trip if you have time. We learned a lot from him ... don't hesitate to ask questions because he has lots of great information to share!
Achraf made this tour delightful. He communicated great information before the tour and met us promptly. The tour required a 2 hour drive each way and he made sure we were comfortable. In the Blue City he took us to all the famous places and a few interesting behind the scenes places. On the way back he took us to the old city of Medina for oil and spice shopping. He was very patient as my wife had to check out everything. All in all Achraf gave us a great day! I definitely recommend him as a guide.
We had a wonderful time on our tour with guide Achraf. He was EXCELLENT! From the minute he picked us up at the ferry to the time he dropped us off at the hotel. it was beyond amazing and magical. First I want to say Achraf truly made our trip to the Blue City everything and more seeing part of the Blue City that I am sure many don't get to experience. We are 3 older women who he made feel so welcome, safe and able to just relax and have fun. He went above & beyond for sure. We loved Morroco and him

We were truly lucky to get the chance to tour with Achraf on our first trip to this beautiful country . He was very kind , great explanations , easy to talk to and made our tour nothing short of exceptional . Our children very much enjoyed the tour and we all felt very at ease and safe with Achraf . Mohamed , the driver , was also great . Safe driving , great vehicle and both just amazing . I will recommend Achraf to our friends and family and you shouldn't hesitate to book with him either !
I can't begin to say enough about our guides and driver. They were warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. By the end of our trip, we all felt like family. And we had a true understanding of the towns and people we visited, and it's history, Ravi, Omar, and Ishmael were absolutely amazing and I would give them a higher score if I could go above five stars.
