Bottom line: Knowledgeable local, excellent safe driver, comfortable transport, speaks perfect English, and skip what you don't like... Camel đ« rides in our case. Hamid knows his Moroccan Jewish history and is passionate about the 3,000 years of Jewish heritage in Morocco. Hamid picked us up right outside the cruise terminal on time. Then we drove to Asilah first and we walked around the old walled city. Such a wonderful surprise as the city is not busy in the morning. Afterwards we enjoyed mint tea across the street from the city walls. We took the scenic route back stopping to see where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea and Perdicaris park. The driver dropped us off at the top of the Kasbah and we explored down through the medina. This is where Hamid shines, he knows everyone. If you comment "what a beautiful door", he knocks and after greetings the owners let us in to see the space. After returning to the cruise ship we heard a lot of groans about traffic, bad drivers, and not impressed. Too bad, because Tangier is a beautiful city full of great history and riches.
