Tangier and Asilah can make a perfect combination for a day trip to Morocco, due to the short distance between the two cities. Tangier has been known for being an international city. It has a mix of different cultures, languages, and architecture. Asilah is a sleepy fishing town in the North of Morocco. It's just one hour south of Tangier. Asilah is often missed by travelers headed inland for Fes or Chefchaouen. It has its own alluring charm with a restored medina that has vivid shades of blue and white paint filling the walls. It's a great location so see the more chilled out, seaside life in Morocco. It's a great place to roam its small alleys with its 3, 600-year-old history that dates back to the Roman era. Today, it has become a renowned seaside resort. Asilah is the venue for many music and art festivals.
Top notch tour. Guide met us where and we agreed. He took into account all of the groups needs and tailored the day to exceed our expectations. Very knowledgeable about the area and provided great insight as we toured around. Highly recommend this tour guide. Exceptional service. Car was clean and easy for senior group to enter and exit.
Our full day with Achraf was excellent. We visited the highlights of Tangier (nice city) and learned much of the history and culture. We visited Asilah at his suggestion - a breath of fresh air without crowds . Achraf was open to changing a few stops last minute. He was knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful with a few who walked slowly.

This tour is a good way to see Tangier and a picturesque nearby seaside town. However, eight hours is not enough time to do everything on the itinerary when you add in lunch and travel time. We did not have enough time for the walking tour even though we skipped the camel rides and entering the Caves of Hercules. The guide was prompt and the driver and van provided were both very good.
Achraf saved the day! Our tour started on the shaky grounds since we did not purchase the right ferry tickets but Achraf patiently and kindly guided us through the whole ordeal. He customized our tour so we had a Best Day in Tangier. He is going to be our guide for the future excursions since we are planning to visit Morocco again and again. Rafi was simply outstanding...and I didn't even get to experience his tour! Me & my eldest daughter had a canceled flight, but my wife & my youngest daughter got to Tangier. I emailed Rafi to take good care of my family & he did as promised. A gentlemen, a scholar and a guardian showed my ladies old & new Tangier and the coast. They laughed, learned and enjoyed the entire trip, every part of it. I still plan to get to Tangier someday...and Rafi will be the first person I contact.

I'm flexible about the meeting point, but to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, if you're coming to Tangier for a day trip from Tarifa by ferry, please make sure to book your ferry from Tarifa to Tangier Ville Port. This is the only route connected to the city center and the starting point of my tours. Do not book from Algeciras, as that route arrives at Tangier Med Port, which is located 1 hour and 30 minutes away from the city center.
