Sigulda Full Day Tour from Riga

This tour is designed to have a pleasant and relaxing day outside the city. Gauja Valley from Paradise Hill let's me tell you about art in Latvia and how it was inspired by Paradise Hill. . Ride in a cable car over the Gauja river valley (optional). Latvia is a country of winter sports. Visit Sigulda Bobsleigh track with the optional ride in winter or summer bobsleigh let's me connect to many sport victories of Latvian athletes. Turn your day into a pleasant and relaxing adventure by embracing nature, history, outdoor activities and having a light lunch in a local café together with your local, enthusiastic guide (that's me).

After meeting up in your hotel lobby or other agreed meeting point, our drive to Sigulda will take about 1h. Once in Sigulda, we will visit the Sigulda Bobsleigh track followed by a stroll through Gauja National park forest trails to visit Paradise Hill. We will then see castles in Sigulda - 13th century Livonian Order castle and New Castle and craft shops on the grounds. Craft shops invite to participate in various activities, including making your own traditional souvenir from Sigulda - a walking stick. We will have time for a light lunch in a local cafeteria before we move to Turaida Castle and Estate. Turaida Castle is reachable by either Cable car or car. Turaida Castle and Estate consists of historical Stone Castle, Turaida Estate and Folk song sculpture park. This tour can be extended to town of Cesis as additional stop. Drive back to Riga is 1 hour 30 min after which I will take you back to your hotel.
