Hi! I'm Laura and Riga is my hometown, my office and the subject of my studies. Guiding tours is the best way to share my love for my city, its people, culture, history, nature, architecture and gastronomy. I'm always learning and improving. I got a bachelor's and master's degree in history of art and culture but I'm continuing to specialise in architecture and restoration. The best thing about my job is meeting you - people from all around the world. I love to see my country from the point of view of my clients while I share my knowledge about Riga and Latvia. Latvia is a small country but is has so much to offer! We have spectacular architecture, green parks, and flourishing cultural life. There are picturesque forests, refreshing lakes, and a breathtaking 500 km long coastline with white-sand beaches and tiny fishing villages. The tours I've listed is just a glimpse into the experiences that you can get in Riga and Latvia. Feel free to contact me to customise a tour for you. I look forward to meeting you in Riga! All the best, Laura Licensed Riga guide Bachelor's and Master's degree in Art History, working on the PhD now Specialising in architecture and heritage protection (6 months internship in the UNESCO Office of Florence, 12 months internship in a restoration workshop) Owner of a tourism agency in Riga, operating in all three Baltic States Driving license

This four-hour tour will introduce you to the history and the modern life of two different districts of Riga: the Riga Old Town and the Agneskalns district, an area which has become popular among the locals both as a residential and a recreational area. Take this tour to find out why!
I'll meet you at the cruise ship terminal, your hotel or any other place convenient for you. We will start the tour with the magical Riga Old Town, where the history of our city begins. You will see Riga's medieval churches, the Three Brothers, the Town Square with the House of the Blackheads, and other important landmarks. Then we will take a short ride with the public transport to cross the River Daugava and head to Agenskalns. Agenskalns is an area with an exciting history, preserving its medieval street plan as well as the 19th/20th-century summer villas of rich Rigans and workers' barracks. It preserves its countryside feeling in some of its streets but its recently restored market and the Kalnciema Quarter offer a glimpse into the life of modern Rigans. After the tour we will take a bus or a trolleybus to get back into the centre and I'll take you back to the cruise ship terminal or to the Old Town.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
