Hi, I am Mie. I am a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter with deep knowledge of Japanese history, religions, and culture. Since I was born, raised, and finished college (majored in Japanese literature and history) in Hiroshima, I have a lot of stories as a local guide that you cannot read in any guidebooks. We had a cruise ship stop in Hiroshima and wanted to explore two things that were not combined on any of the offered excursions. We reached out to Mie, and she quickly put together an itinerary for us that combined those two experiences and left us cushion in our schedule to make sure we would arrive timely back to the ship. Two tours in one! Miyajima with its iconic Torii Gate and ancient shrine, and Peace Memorial Park and Museum with the A-Bomb Dome. Absolutely amazing, and Mie explained everything in detail. Would highly recommend!

Mie was a fantastic tour guide! She provided great insight into the Miyajima history, Shinto/Buddhism faiths, details of the torii gate. Mie shared personal stories of her family in Hiroshima area, explained the student mobilization efforts of the war, and stories of the day of the bombing and days, months and years that followed. Your Hiroshima tour itinerary
Meet at your hotel or JR Hiroshima station. *Peace Memorial Park ( A-Bomb Dome, some monuments, Peace Memoral Museum. (approx. 2 hour) *move to Miyajima by street car/JR train and ferry(approx. 1 hour) *Miyajima (Itsukushima shrine, Daiganji temple, Pagoda, Senjokaku etc) *go back to your hotel Note: Depending on the tidal condition in Miyajima or transportation matters, the course can be changed to the opposite. *The itinerary is subject to change due to situations like weather and time of year and also to suit your convenience.

*If you are a passenger on any curise ships, please make sure which cruise ship port you will arrive at before you book me.

Your transportation fares, meals, admission fee, and personal purchase.*Please pay transportation fares for a guide during the tour(train, tram, bus, high-speed boat,etc).*If the meeting place and ending place are far from the Hiroshima station or downtown area, such as Miyajima, please pay extra in cash on site. (train, tram or bus).*Basically, we use public transportation such as JR or tram. But if you use the high-speed boat between Miyajima and Peace Memorial Park(World Heritage course), it costs you 2500(including visitors tax), JPY for one way.In this case, you are requested to pay for the guide(half of the regular fare).
