Hi, I am Miyu, a Nationally Licensed Guide Interpreter. I began my career as a tourist guide after working as a public servant for nearly four decades. I mainly guide tours to Hiroshima’s two UNESCO World Heritage Sites — the Atomic Bomb Dome (including Peace Park) and Miyajima Island. Overview of your Hiroshima tour
The highlights of this tour are the Atomic Bomb Dome and Miyajima. In the Peace Park and Peace Memorial Museum, you will learn that the atomic bomb deprived the citizens of Hiroshima of their future and feel the strength of the human race. As we walk through Peace Park, I can share stories about the atomic bombing that are not included in the museum exhibits. We will then head to Miyajima, one of the three most scenic spots in Japan. Enjoy the unique Itsukushima Shrine and Otorii floating on the sea, and the majestic Daisho-in Temple. For lunch, I recommend okonomiyaki and oyster dishes, which are deeply loved by the people of Hiroshima.
