Pancho was an amazing guide. We did a day trip of Hiroshima from Kyoto. He spent time prior to our tour making sure we knew exactly what time we should plan on arriving and leaving Hiroshima and then met us at our train. He was knowledgeable and able to engage with all 3 of our kids (11, 16, and 18 ) and kept them interested the entire day. We started with Miyajima Island where Pancho expertly guided us around the island answering questions about anything we could think of. After lunch he took us to Peace park and taught us so much about Hiroshima and what the people went through and gave us a perspective we wouldn’t have gotten otherwise. This is truly a tour we will never forget.

We had such a wonderful day touring Miyajima Island and Hiroshima with Pancho. Communication prior to the tour was excellent. The tour was extremely well planned and it was a unique experience to be able to discuss Pancho’s family’s experience as survivors. We had a great tour with Pancho. We arrived in Hiroshima on a train from Osaka, and he was waiting at our exact train car when we arrived--so thoughtful! He efficiently guided us through train and ferry ticket purchases. Due to the tide schedule, we went to Miyajima island first, and Pancho was able to tell us the best place to stand on the ferry to get good pictures of the floating tori gate as we came near it. He was very willing to take pictures of us throughout the day, which I appreciated. On the ride back to Hiroshima, he again recommended which side of the boat to sit on for the best views. For lunch, Pancho took us to an Okonomiyaki restaurant that was one of my favorite meals in Japan. Pancho's knowledge of Hiroshima and family history that he shared with us very much enriched our visit to the city. I highly recommend a tour with Pancho.

Pancho was an exceptional guide. He thought of everything to make our tour more comfortable and manageable despite the heat. He made sure we got the most out of our day with him. He was knowledgeable and able to engage with our kids (10 & 14) and keep them interested. He taught us so much about Hiroshima and what the people went through and gave us a perspective we wouldn’t have gotten otherwise. He took us to a delicious lunch. He arranged an unplanned stop for shopping for our son who was interested in anime. We loved Miyajima Island and Pancho took us to places we wouldn’t have found otherwise. He was very thoughtful about getting great photos that we will have forever. He arranged the day around our plans to stay on Miyajima Island and gave us tips on transportation for getting back the next day. Our day with Pancho is truly one we will never forget.

Our experience with Tetsuo was great. Tetsuo is friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to be around. He took us to some special places that we would not have seen without an expert guide. With his family background, he has special insight into the events during and after WWII, and we had really interesting conversations about that. I highly recommend spending a day with Tetsuo in Hiroshima!

Pancho was a wonderful tour guide! He was well prepared for the unexpected and options that would arise, has a really interesting personal perspective of the Hiroshima history, and was a pleasure to spend the day with. He took us to some of his favorite hidden gems in the city and was sensitive to the needs and desires of our group. I highly recommend Pancho to everyone visiting Japan!
