Mie was wonderful! I would definitely recommend her as your guide. She has a wealth of knowledge and is very resourceful. I had little information and wanted learn about the town where my mother spent her 1930's childhood. Mie researched the town and an old address to share sites and information of the era. We saw the town's first train that operates to this day, the location of Mom's school and learned about it’s history, a museum with displays about emigration from Hiroshima in the late 1800's and beyond. She continued to find more places connected to my mother‘s childhood. Before the end of the day we actually found Mom’s neighborhood and the cemetery that holds the remains of my family, generations before! It was amazing! We saw and learned much more than expected. Thank you, Mie! It was a remarkable day with many memories to cherish.

This was a fantastic experience! Mie is organized, skilled, and a good communicator. She was very committed to assuring our specific needs were met. She was flexible during the daylong time we spent together and this was especially important. She helped me research my Japanese family ancestors and even helped me find and communicate with family members i did not even know existed! She also arranged for a hired taxi for the day to help us get to where we needed to go. I highly recommend her! Mie is an excellent guide and gave us a very thoughtful and thorough tour of the city. She also interpreted the testimony of an A-Bomb survivor at the museum perfectly and helped make that a very meaningful experience for my family. She was very understanding of our time constraints and packed a ton of sightseeing into our time together. We have some friends coming to Hiroshima later this year and will recommend Mie to them!
