Half day in Peace Memorial Park and city walk

Mie, our tour guide, was certainly knowledgeable on the history of Hiroshima and catered to out timing requirements to a tee. She was very responsive to all our enquiries and given the time we had available, Mie exceeded all our expectations. If visiting Hiroshima, we encourage you to avail yourselves of her services.

Our guide Mie communicated with us before the tour, offering her thoughts on places to stay, the tour was done as described, and included the garden tour, view of the castle (closed in April 2026), visit to the shrine and on to the peace park before finishing at the peace museum. We saw a lot, though we did not feel rushed. The peace museum can be crowded but is definitely worth seeing. The warmth of the people of Hiroshima who suffered such a tragedy is amazing and their determination to promote world peace without expressing embitterment is truly humbling.

Mie was very knowledgable about and willing to share personal stories. She had great communication and kept the tour moving at a good pace. she was also helpful providing additional information and recommendations about the city. Highly recommend her for a Hiroshima tour.

Mie efficiently showed us around Hiroshima including spending a lot of time in the gardens and at the Peace Memorial and museum. She was so helpful in the planning of our day, as we were doing this as a day trip from Kyoto as our youngest teenage son was wanting to see this important historical site. She helped us choose a less busy day for our visit and gave me advice on travel and food since it would be such a quick trip. She took great photos of our family and was an extremely knowledgeable and organized guide, making sure we were back to the train station on time. Despite it being such a quick trip, we never felt rushed and had plenty of time at each place. Thank you Mie!
