Thanks to reaching my profile page and Im glad to introduce myself to you. I am Dario, from the beatiful city of LOVE, VENICE, ITALY 🇮🇹, and I have traveled around Japan at least once a year from 2011 to 2016 when The fate decided that i had to meet my actual wife , who is Japanese, in Italy and I took the decision to move to Japan to be able to stay together with her in 2018 , after 1 year of relationship in Italy, and 1 year long distance relationship ( very long and far ). When I was living in Italy, I worked for 12 years as a sales man for different international companies in the air conditioning market , so I had the opportunity to travel around the world and meeting many people. I arrived in Japan in 2018 as a student of the japanese language. In the meanwhile I started studying the history of Hiroshima and in 2019 i decided to promoting myself as a tourist assistant, at the beginning for Hiroshima and Miyajima island, but after a while, all around the most famous spots in Japan. So far I guided single travellers, couples, families but also groups up to 40 persons. I will not be only your guide in Hiroshima, but I will be like a friend to you willing to share with you all of my knowledge about Hiroshima, Japan and its culture , and i can share with you all my experiences as a foreigner living in this country with its highs and lows. You will see me always with a smile on my face because I really love this job and you will see it through my passion. My mission also is to show you the beauty of Hiroshima and try to make you forget the sad side of this city. I bring visitors in Hiroshima to discover the most famous and interesting places, telling them about the history, culture and curiosities of Japanese people. This is a fully customized tour based on guest needs and requests. Journey to discover the places destroyed by the atomic bomb of August 1945, including the famous Genbaku Dome, peace memorial park with its many memorials, Peace Memorial Museum , Shukkeien Garden. Afterwards, will finish the tour in the best possible way, going to have lunch in a very typical local place , where you'll taste the food soul of Hiroshima, the real okonomiyaki.
Dario was very knowledgeable, accommodating and a pleasure to engage with in conversation!! Most impressively, he handled our group of 9 people (age 75 yrs all the way down to age 9 years old) seamlessly. He navigated our young children, teenagers and grandfather with perfect timing for lunch and breaks as needed on a very hot day. Highly, highly recommend. He is the reason why private tour guides are worth every penny.
Hiroshima is a must see and Dario is the person to guide you through the experience. He deserves a 10 out of 10! Dario is very knowledgeable and personable, and speaks English perfectly. He's a natural born storyteller. During our time together, he brought both history and human drama to the story of the bomb. Beyond our conversation about the bombing, Dario was open about his life in Japan as an Italian with a Japanese family which was also interesting to us. He made meeting up at the Hiroshima train station easy and made sure we got our train back to Kyoto. All we had to do was look for the Italian Woody Harrelson as we walked toward the exit. I'm going to recommend Dario to my sister who is planning to visit Japan in the Fall, and to anyone else I hear about visiting Hiroshima.
