Hi, I am Mie. I am a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter with deep knowledge of Japanese history, religions, and culture. Miyajima is one of the World Heritage Sites in Japan and a popular tourist destination. Located off the coast of Hiroshima, the serene beauty of the island is an essential spot. You will walk around the island, including the Great Red Torii Gate, Itsukushima Shrine, Daishoin Temple, and so on. *If the weather is good, we'll take the ropeway up to the Shishi-iwa Observation Deck near Mt. Misen. *Another option is the Miyajima Aquarium, where you can observe creatures of the Seto Inland Sea *During cherry blossom season, I'll take you to the hill overlooking the great torii gate, the cherry blossoms, and the Treasure Pagoda.

Mie provided us with an excellent tour of Miyajima. She is very knowledgeable about the history of the shrine and surrounding temples. Wish we had more time to explore the area and climb the mountain on the cable car.
