Hello and thank you for reading about me, Roberta! I was born and raised in Rome, I have dedicated many years of my life to art history and archaeology. I have taken a Degree at the PIAC, the Pontifical Institute of Christian Archaeology. I have worked as a tour leader for leading Italian and American tour operators in Rome. I love my Ancient City and wish to share it with you! My interests in the arts and history fields as a young child led me to start working as a professional tour guide, which I have been doing with great enthusiasm since 2009, when I obtained my licence. I also have a special licence for the Vatican City which allows me to cooperate with many groups and families. I speak fluently in English, French and Spanish, and have graduated in Political Science. I love travelling the world and all animals, in particular dogs and cats. This excursion will take you to the heart of the Roman Catholic Religion - The Vatican City: to explore St. Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museum, and the Sistine Chapel.You'll visit the world famous Vatican Museum, where an exceptional collection of artwork from every era is on display. Over one thousand rooms and galleries contain thousands of amazing treasures collected by the Popes throughout the centuries. You will have time to only see a portion of the many beautiful pieces of work. Then, you'll visit the Sistine Chapel, highlighted by Michelangelo's masterpieces, the impressive frescoes, including the "Last Judgment. " Finally, you'll visit St. Peter's Basilica, the largest church in the world Among the many fine pieces of art and mosaics on display are Michelangelo's "Pieta" and the beautifully carved Bernini Pulpit. You will skip the lines to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. After lunch, a drive through Rome to visit the historic Colosseum( 1st & 2nd Floor only included)
Roberta was fantastic! She worked with me to set up a customized plan for our family of four's visit to Rome, including some activities that are not specifically mentioned on her profile. On our tours, she was very knowledgeable and also used some pictures on her iPad to further explain what she was talking about. I would highly recommend her as a guide when you're in Rome!

Day two with Roberta. Amazing that we were able to see so much in one day. Roberta is organized, professional and a pleasure to spend the day with. Everything is carefully planned to maximize the day, drivers, tickets, lunch etc. Touring with Roberta is like having your local friend show you Rome. We will hire her again on our next trip to Italy.
Everyone in our family of 6 (children ages 15, 9, 9, & 8) loved this tour! Roberta did a great job of explaining the local area while also customizing the food tour to work for both adults and my kids! Transportation was prompt and courteous and the Catacomb experience and history was both interesting and educational. Roberta has a love for Rome and a gift for guiding. Roberta was a wonderful guide! She was extremely knowledgeable and she allowed us to take our time at the spots we wanted more information on. You can tell this is her passion because she is so enthusiastic and heartfelt! We felt at home with her! We would definitely recommend her to anyone wanting a first class tour of Rome!
- I will meet you at the Meeting Point of your choice (Hotel, Cruise Port or a Monument in Rome). Our day will begin with a VIP Entrance, No waiting in line to visit the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chaple and St. Peter's Bascilica. - Afterwards we will break for lunch at a local place where many of the local's eat in Rome by the Vatican walls. Our final hours will be spent visiting areas on and around the Tiber River and over to see Ancient Rome and the Colosseum before taking you back to your pickup location. Please note that this tour is a private tour, however, when entering the Vatican and Colosseum you may join a group tour that is guided by an Official guide from inside the Vatican and the Colosseum.
