Fantastic tour around Montalcino, Pienza and Montapulciano with the fun and knowledgable Fabio. We said we wanted an easier day after having done the Vatican and San Giovanni Rotondo, and Fabio nailed the assignment with a lovely wine tasting at a boutique family-run winery in Montalcino, followed by a pitstop in the Medieval and Renaissance hill town town of Pienza for shopping for local pecorino, honey and olive oil. We could have shopped more, but there was still Montapulciano to visit, although the weather was not in our favour. Tuscany is beautiful, and Fabio's love of the region is clear. I would love to return to Italy to visit other small towns outside of Rome and Fabio is as good as they get. We absolutely loved traveling with him!

The day spent with Fabio was extraordinary -- from the 8 a.m. meeting at my Rome hotel to the 5 p.m. check-in at the Villa Valentina in Vorno/Lucca, Tuscany, the time flew by on the beautiful drive through the countryside, stopping for a private wine tour/tasting at a small family-owned vineyard, having a walk-about and "a slice" in Siena (the pizza was terrific!) -- all arranged by Fabio. He is charming, knowledgeable, takes care of every detail (and is a great driver!) -- I highly recommend him.
Fabio did a great job on an all day tour to Tuscany from Rome. He explains great information about Tuscany and had us set up with a great lunch restaurant as well as a charming wine tasting at a small boutique winery. We had 3 days with Fabio, wish we could have had a week! Assisi and Oriveto were amazing. Again he knew the best places to eat at affordable prices. The drive through the countryside was also most pleasant and comfortable in his Mercedes Van.

Lucca, Pisa , Florence, Volterra With my tour we will explore the lower part in order to give less drive and more time to appreciate the village , the atmosphere , the Wine . After we leave Rome, we will drive towards Tuscany. After 1. 30/2. 00 hr/minute drive we can stop to Montepulciano where we can visit the beautifull hill town and some old wine cellar . We will proceed toward Pienza ( Medieval town famous for pecorino cheese, leaning church ) after Pienza we can have stop for lunch in Montalcino .
