Overview of your Rome tour
In this noble and harmonious villa of the Italian Renaissance, we are immersed in the festive atmosphere of the early 16th century. We pass through the Room of Galatea, featuring the nymph painted by Raphael, and continue to the Loggia of Cupid and Psyche, which narrates the story of the two lovers and reflects the private life of its owner, Agostino Chigi, who celebrated his marriage here with his beloved Francesca. Once outside the villa, the tour continues into Trastevere, which preserves its medieval atmosphere with narrow cobbled streets, small shrines dedicated to the Madonna, and ancient churches. We walk to the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere, discovering the legend behind its foundation and admiring its extraordinary architecture and medieval mosaics. Trastevere reveals its cosmopolitan side of Rome, rich in anecdotes and vibrant local life, offering an abundance of traditional restaurants, lively bars, and artisan gelaterias.

-Villa Farnesina -Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere -Trastevere area Villa Farnesina is closed in the afternoon and on Sundays. The itinerary can be customized as you prefer. -Churches and Basilicas are subject to last-minute without previous notice closures during religious celebrations. -In all the Roman churches dress code for both men and women requires shoulders and knees to be covered. -Please bring a copy of your passport (hard copy or photo on your phone) tickets are nominal and you must show a copy of your documents. -Please write me if there are people with mobility problems and if you use or need a wheelchair, the itinerary will be different.
