Tivoli: Villa D'Este and Villa Adriana - Transfers Included

Take a break from the city, get back to nature and enjoy Tivoli, a charming town about 30 km from Rome. Its history dates back to Roman antiquity, when it was a popular getaway for wealthy Romans seeking a peaceful escape from the city. Emperor Hadrian chose Tivoli to build his luxurious villa, which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The villa complex is huge and includes various buildings, gardens and pools. It combines the best elements of the architectural heritage of Egypt, Greece and Rome in the form of an 'ideal city'. Its architecture continues to impress visitors. We'll also visit another must-see attraction: Villa d'Este, a Renaissance building famous for its magnificent gardens and fountains. The villa was built by Cardinal Ippolito d'Este and is decorated with beautiful frescoes. We'll admire the interior, then stroll through the terraced gardens, marvel at the water features and enjoy the serene atmosphere of the Italian countryside. After a delightful lunch, we'll return back to the hotel.
